The game's down now. It went down at 6:17 PM EST. I was in the game, crashed, then couldn't log in. The game 'failed to retrieve your pirates.'

That's weird, maybe Disney is taking the 'kick him off the game' approach instead of the 'never reply to emails' approach.

At least stick around and play limited, it's actually fun sailing around on a light sloop and sinking ships. Plus who can avoid the green sea!
