I just got this game for Easter.... and I was wondering if someone could give me tips for controlling my Loftwing. When I want to go up, it starts to flutter, and go back down.

First, try pressing the 2 button to check your basic controls. But to gain speed and height, you have to do a kind of flapping motion with your remote; you move it up and down so your Loftwing's wings move up and down.

I'm getting the 3rd flame for my sword right now, but Hammy explained it perfectly. But don't, like, swing your arm. Just kind of move your wrist up and down because the Wii MotionPlus senses motion alot better. If the controller is too far one way, it'll go the opposite way--example; if you bring your hand too high up when flying, you'll start going downward & vice-versa, and f you move your hand too far to the left, it'll start going to the right & vice-versa.
