Chapter 2: Into the Woods

As Jack and Mark exited the perilous town, they were already exhausted, both by running and fighting the skeletons.

Mark said calmly to Jack, "We should do that more often!" Jack just looked at Mark as if to say, "If we ever do it again because of you, I will kill you." As Jack and Mark walked further into the woods, Jack wondered in his mind what was to become of them and the town. He figured the town would soon become a wasteland, and what he called home would disappear...

Just then, out of nowhere, a wooden cage fell on them! Jack and Mark were trapped in a wooden creation! Jolly Roger had appeared with his skeleton army, and he was not pleased. "So, ye fools managed to escape from that town... I was very surprised that you were able to defeat three skeletons. Unfortunately for you, me army has millions of skeletons! And, did ye think that you were safe? Apparently, you're more of a threat than I imagined -" Then, a strange figure stepped out of the dark! He slashed every one of the skeletons that Jolly had prepared. "So we meet again, Jolly. Did you think that ye had killed me? An unlikely story. I'm not that easy to beat, you know?" He slashed the wooden cage and freed Jack and Mark. He then said, "Go! I'll take care of Jolly!" Jack and Mark ran further through the woods in desperate speed. The man turned around and said, "I guess I'll end this now, Jolly." Jolly Roger then said, "Hmph. I WILL destroy them. They are the last of the Bladebearers! This isn't over! Until we meet again.... Gastro." Jolly Roger then disappeared in a green mist.

Jack and Mark ran out of the woods. They were panting in extreme exhaustion. Jack said, "Ok, we have *huff* GOT to *huff* get out of here..." Mark replied, "No *huff* kidding!" The boys' adventure has only just begun...
