Test Server

ok i dont know i this is in the right place but keep n reading about people on test servers.

What is test server is it like where POTCO will release a new quest certain players can test it then once bugs are "ironed out" they release it to open servers????

The test servers are open to the people that played during the beta 2 testing. It's still free for the people that played beta but didn't sign up for open. I've been back on test for a few days, and it's a real ghost town.

The plan is to release things on the test server first, then put it on open. I'm not sure how much that's been happening though. They have done that for a few things.

Yea, what Rose said. It is available for the beta players.
I wish I was a beta player, I still have the e-mail to sign up for it and the founder program! But it is too late, lol.

There may be a way to get on the Test Server even if you weren't in Beta.

As you all know, the game still has bugs. Boundry bugs, holes in the terrain, combat bugs, lag-induced bugs, graphical bugs, etc.

Perhaps if you reported those bugs you find...you may EARN a place on the Test Server. I am sure the Devs *want* people who find and write up good bug reports to help improve the game for everyone. And I am sure the Devs would want those good bug-reporting people on the Test Server to test new content before it is released to the public.

So you might be able to EARN your way to the Test Server.

I have test server access, but I stopped playing because I'm not so interested in the game that I can stand to do the same quests twice. Doing the ones that I had already done when moving to live drove me mad!

I'm on test server too, but haven't been there much lately since I'm trying to get my Paid account up to the level of my Test account, and yeah, I hate doing everything twice...some even three or four times.
It get's very lonely on Test, but once I finish up my chores on Paid, (since The Black Pearl is still down) I'll go to Test to see if anything new is being added for testing.
