We need more gestures for our pirates
POTCO gave us the Zombie Dance during halloween, but we need some permanent gestures added to the list. I think Bowing, Blowing a Kiss, Shaking Hands, Salute, and perhaps a Tip your Hat option. Just a thought, what do you think?

Great ideas mate! Although there is a problem with shaking hands... you need 2 pirates doing that.. lol Unless it's a forced handshark, otherwise would you need to have both pirates close and using that emote at the same time?

Good ideas...
One though that we really need is the gesture that the kid from the movie Home Alone (M. Caulkin) with the hands on the cheeks for when we open a treasure chest and nothing's in it...heh |

I wouldn't mind a few new emotes. For example, handshake, and that could be accompanied by the actual gesture too, or at least a one sided attempt, where as if the other player also used the emote your two pirates would actually shake hands. (Though in practice I think it would be difficult to pull off.)
A few that wouldn't be to hard though.... Attaching a motion to sigh, where your pirate sort of shakes their head a little, like oh geeze not again. Rolling your eyes. (pirate name here) or You roll your eyes. Beacon, where you put up your first finger in a come here gesture. You signal come here. Wait. Again a first finger gesture, but this one as in wait a second. You ask everyone to wait. (I believe this is already an emote, the You ask everyone to wait, but it would be nice to have a gesture with it.) Excuse me. A natural with the Belching and Flatulance potions. You say excuse me. Slaps head. A general oh darn it emote. When used the pirate would slap their forehead in an oh duh motion, then shake their head. You slap your forehead. I also think we could use a few more repetitive motion emotes. Sit would be one, where when you sit, it wouldn't say anything in chat, like, you sit. But you would sit on whatever object, and if your a guy continually switch resting one ankle on the other knee, and if your a girl cross and uncross your ankles. Crossed arms. A repetitive motion where you stand there with crossed arms looking frustrated. That could even be the emote's title, You look frustrated, or it could be, You cross your arms. I think probably James Malory looks frustrated. would look a whole lot better in chat than James Malory crosses his arms. |

I have always wanted a /facepalm emote! On a serious note, I would be more partial to adding real animations to all the old ones before adding new ones. Then, meh, maybe new ones. I'd imagine it wouldn't be too high on D's "stuff to do" list (which I'm sure is getting longer). Overall, I think these are good ideas, and would like them to be incorporated.

I believe that several months ago they added in gestures for /bored, /impatient, and /confused. Otherwise, I like all these suggestions!
Another one to add to the list. /think. Basically, your pirate would shift their weight to one leg, rub their chin, and look at the sky. Sorta like pondering. It could be /think or /ponder. |

I saw the word gestures in the title and something immediately popped in to my mind.. but I don't think we need that in this game! LOL
![]() I think that new emotes/editting to current one's aren't exactly important right now, but it's definately something I want to see down the line. Emotions add more of a character to the game, so it's not so bland as we go through the game. It gives more of a characterizing way of it, which makes the game more sociable and enjoyable. |
