The Pirate Life Begins...

I had another thread on my beginning, but I made a new outline on my story plot so here it is.

Chapter 1
My Beginning

I was a young kid, not a pirate at all. My father was a ship worker and he taught me everything to know about ships.

We transported cargo to other people on the high seas but one day, everything turned horrible.

We were sailing through dangerous territory of the EITC, to transport some fresh cargo on our war frigate. When all of a sudden a mist comes through and the juggernaut was right in it.

The juggernaut was ready for battle, and sunk us in a clear explosive shot. We were no match for it. The last thing I saw was my father go overboard. I never saw him again.

I woke up in some sort of jail cell and there is this man with dreadlocsk. I later learned he was Jack Sparrow and he helped me up. He told me that I look horrible but then he helped me get out. He kicked the jail door and then let me free, I had a debt and I knew I had to repay it.

I walk over to Captain Bo beck's ship and he said he's here to transport me to Port royal. After grabbing a cannona nd sinking a skeleton ship. A man named JOlly Roger came. Bo Becka nd Jolly argued for a little until Jolly Grabbed Bo beck and turned him into a skeleton.

He then said " Dead men tell no tales, so I'm forcd to let ye live " but then he dispatched me of asword I had no idea was there, and threw me overboard. swam to Port Royal seeing the ship sink under flames and thunder.

I swam up there and I see a sign with a sword on it. I think that is a blacksmith shop so I walk into it and ask a man by the name of Phillip Fuller if he could let me have a sword for free. He then said no, but after much bargaining he gave me a rusty cutlass for free.

I walk over to some sort of eerie cemetary, and a dagger whistles next to my head. I look where it came from and it was a grotesque skeleton. As it gets read to throw another dagger I unsheathe my sword, parry the dagger throw and start to hack at it. It was an eternity before I thought this was over.

Then after hacking and slashing it falls back, turns into some sort of green soul and disappears. What I see in front of me is some sort of chest with a skull on it. As I open it I find a sword, a sword called the bloodfire cutlass. As I try to slash with it it gave a burning sensation, it seems I can hold but not attack with it.

That somehow put me into rage, I took out my rusty cutlass and started to slash at every skeleton at the cemetary. I then calmed down and saw an opening in here. I walk into it and meet a lady named tia dalma. A strange one she is.

She said " You have a touch of destiny in you " And then gave me acompass, a compass that points to whatever I want most. She then mentioned my debt with the man back at the jail, and she told me to repay the debt I must get releaser forms for the black Pearl froma navy soldier.

I wondered if I should help this man to get revenge for my father, or just give up now and continue my father's work. What should I do, two sides of fate tempting me but only one way to go....

Chapter 2
A Lost Wish

Two sides of fate tempting me.... one way to go. I had no idea what to do yet so I decided to continue going on with this debt to pay back until I was sure I could keep going or head back.

As I stride outside the cemetery I see a navy cadet. The navy cadet starts slashing at me while I walk by.

I start to parry and lunge, thrusting and hacking and then I got the finishing blow. He fell backwards and his face turned pale. I felt nothing, they did this to my father and I will do it back to them.

I found the release orders and then I was to head to the Governor's Mansion. It was guarded by cadets which I found amusing because of how easy they were to defeat.

One by one I went into a fury rage until every cadet was gone, and on the ground pale. I unsheathed my sword and went inside the Mansion. She said that I must find Jack Sparrow, and that she is awaiting her father's return. She would not join me.

I was told to see Darby Drydocks in order to get a ship. As I'm walking by the gypsy cart I see a potion table. I wondered if I should make any. I asked the gypsy, Lucinda if I should and she said that there was something in me. Try a few potions and see if the fates will let you master.

As I throw in ingredients into my bowl I make a potion, the swashbuckler stew I. This increases your sword attack said Lucinda. I said thank you and left to go to Darby Drydock's.

As I head over there I almost fell on the ground, there on the shore was my father's ship but in devasting state, as I run over and ask Darby on how that ship came, he said that it was in bad shape when it landed onto shore here. He would fix it later. I then said ' Is there anyway to fix it quicker? " Then he mentioned something about repairing it by hitting some nails, plugging leaks and getting water out of there.

I then boarded my ship and did what I was told, in about an hour it was freshly repaired waiting to be sailed. As I walk into my cabin to take a good night's sleep I see a note out of the tip of my eye.

Dear son,

If you ever see this note, then it means that I have passed away. I wish you with this ship.
Also, I wish that you get revenge on the EITC ship that has killed me. Get revenge on every last one of them for my last wish.

As I stared at it I had no idea what happened. I keep reading it over and yet I still did not know what to do. Was I going to risk my life in order to fulfill my father's wishes. Or was I going to try to make a good living at Port Royal with a home. I still did not know. I went to sleep thinking......

Chapter 3
A Deadly Gaze

As I wake up I find myself on the shores of Tortuga. I see Devil's Anvil across the ocean and start to become furious at myself.

I must have not strapped the sails down before I went to sleep last night. A careless mistake that I would not let happen again.

I walk down the dock and see that the sky is turning a tinge green. Very very strange indeed in what is happening. As I begin to ask a fellow mate or two on what the color means they did not know as well.

I walk up to a gypsy and ask her what the sky is doing. She introduced herself, Fabiola and told me that there is a curse about to happen. Head indoors before this minute strikes!

I took heed of her warning and ran inside King's Arm. I hear then a strange rumbling sound and then gunshots being fired. I decided to go outside. I look at the moon and see the same man I saw on the ship: Jolly Roger.

I look around and see millions of skeletons fighting the human townsfolk and trying to defeat them. I see skeletons and people falling left and right being taken to jail and then a skeleton swung at me.

I quickly parried and disarmed him. He took out a sword on fire. He then started swinging at me and I had to be very agile in order to dodge this. After what seemed like an hour I then got the sword out of his hand and on the tavern door..

I then swing and finish him off with a stab. He fell back and then disappeared. It seemed that killing the skeletons will stop the curse Fabiola was speaking of. I then started to run into the mob with the sword on door. As I took it out the broadsword started to go fire and then I dashed into that mob with all my fury.

I was swerving left and right dodging pistol fires and a swinging of swords. I got skeletons left and right and by the time I was at the dock most of the skeletons were down. Then disaster happened...

As a huge grenade lands next to me I take a huge ammount of damage to my body. I am almost down and as I look up I see a skeleton with a huge grenade in his hand. He throws another and luckily I get out of the way and it only blows some wood up off the dock and also hitting some skeletons making them disappear.

Then another fellow pirate hit the skeleton in the back and finished him off, making him disappear as well.

Then in an instance the curse was over. There were no more green skies or skeleton pirates. As quickly as it begun, it ended even quicker. As I stride over to fabiola and ask her what happened she told me this:

" That was 'The Curse Of The Muertos Moon,' a deadly curse Joly Roger has done to try to take over the caribbean. anybody caught in that deadly gaze will be turned into a skeleton, and then only turned back to human by being defeated in battle."

She then mentioned a few things about being indoors or on a ship to avoid the effects and that this can only happen during the tides are right, near Hallow's Eve. Hallow's Eve was ending tomorrow and I was glad for that. Never had I felt the sheer terror and adrenaline in my whole entire life.

I got back onto my ship and started to set sail again, to Devil's Anvil to meet somebody I was told to meet. The journey continued, and I was th eperson leading the journey, my own choices and my own fate will guide me all the way, whter death or freedom it is time to find out the truth, whether now or never.

I agree mate, very exciting. The detail was very good and I liked the way you described the fighting. It's interesting how you brought the Muertos moon into this too. Also, it's amusing how you got to Tortuga first, haha.

However, there was this one point at the beginning that kind of confused me.

How could I be so careless as to not set the sails strapped?

It seems kind of odd and awkward. I got what you were saying, but maybe go back and edit it a little.

Ok I decided to post another chapter really quick on here. I am probably going to release chapters with different time frames so if I take a long time I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for the review and here is CHAPTER 4!

Chapter 4
The Code, a man, and a surprise

As I wake up I see the sun's early gaze on the horizon. I start to yawn and then go to the bar of King's Arm to find something to drink.

I then said " Hey Johnny! Fetch me some water! " He then stared at me like I had three heads. I dropped about a 100 gold and he rushed to get some water.

I then sat down and then a new person spoke to me. Andrew Bowdash. He asked if I was going onto the seas today and I said aye.

He then said " Lookie here mate, beware the seas today as there are rumors that powerful EITC or Navy fleets will be launched. You can recognize them with a special Insignia on there sails. The EITC war frigates are Tyrants and the Navy's are Elites. They have a powerful ship of the line that I've hard the docksmen are working on building. They ship of the lines are packed full of power with explosives. Take heed of the warning mate."

I then said " Thanks " and went to get my water and walked back to my ship. To Devil's Anvil I supposed. I then unstrapped the sails and started to head back to Devil's Anvil.

After a few hours or so I finally hit the island. I threw an anchor aboard and jumped off of my ship. When I unsheathed my firy sword or my broadsword I could not wield it once more, the burning sensation was back.

Then from nowhere I feel a sharp sting on my back. I turn around to see a huge scorpion lunging for another attack. I parry and slice off the pincer disarming it. But then it started to use its arms.

I sliced those off and then did the final blow, a stab right to the neck. It then also dropped a pouch and as I untied it I found a playing card. A nine of spades.

I then saw animals to my left, scorpions and crabs, and a cave straight ahead of me. I decided to go straight and venture into this unknown cave.

As I walk in a man a strange man said this. " Ye are going to need more than that cutlass if you want to get out of here with yer skin. Now lets see how good you are with the hand cannon. Go ahead shoot at that cursed simian. "

As I catch the pistol barely pulling off the trigger I then turned to the monkey. It showed no signs of being scared. As I check if it is loaded i then fire and a kick came to it. Almost knocking me into the water in this Grotto.

The monkey did not do anything or want to do anything. It climbed back up on the man's shoulders.

He also said this " Now before you go firing at every reckless person in sight a word of warning about The Code. It does not only say the rules but it also says the rules of engagement. Steal from 'em, plunder 'em, torture 'em, burn 'em but no guns! That is unless ye be facing a cursed pirate. An undead pirate does not follow the rules of engagement allowing you to fire upon him. Now goodbye... "

Strangely one moment I was in there, the next walking out the cave. It was weird this caribbean was but strangely I was actually feeling good to feel the rush of excitement and adrenaline. To Tortuga now. I must find the man who helped me out of jail.

He is the only way that I will probably be able to get revenge. As I set sail once more more mist appears, and then I saw it. It was there right before my eyes the same ship.... that had killed my father, and it was right there in front of me.....

Not the most exciting chapter I agree but it's a buildup for a very special chapter. So I"ll post chapter 5 soon i nabout a week or less. Just keep a lookout, thanks for the review Crest by the way . Please by all means comment and enjoy reading!

As Tepcat once said to me, the chapter doesn't need to be exciting for it to be good (or something along those lines...). The buildup makes the more adventurous parts even more exciting because there's more depth to it. Very nice job mate.

Alright sorry bout not posting in a while. Had finals to study for and etc. Here is chapter 5!

Chapter 5
Recreation of Destruction

I see the ship and I am just flabbergasted at what I see. Then I snapped back to the real world and began my journey back to Tortuga. Surely I would need a crew to sink these powerful ships. The last time without a crew, we sunk quickly and they showed no mercy.

I sail over there at full speed and finally dock right at Tortuga. For some reason the docks are on flames and then all of a sudden the tavern, King's Arm exploded with all of its fury into shambling pieces.

I ran into the town trying to figure out why in the world is there explosions going on in the pirate home: Tortuga?! I ran into a man muttering this. "The EITC, the EITC, run the EITC have come to destroy the islands!"

I then did what no man should have did. I ran into the town with my full fury and rage. I was corrupted with revenge and took out my bloodfire cutlass which strangely turned on fire without that burning sensation once more. It was peculiar when I think back on when this occurred.

I run in there and see explosives set everywhere. And by a peculiar coincidence I see barrels, not just any gunpowder barrels but the EITC symbol onto the barrels. I then began to scream in my mind. But I would not give up and let this happen.

As I see faithful Bride being blown up I try to open up that door. It would not budge. I kicked and kicked again and then finally it seemed to pop open and all of these flames of wood and EITC gunpowder barrels where left in front of me.

I see James Pidgeley in danger and I run to help him. James then muttered, " The wretched EITC have set explosives to rid of us pirates, save yourself!," I screamed " No, I'm not leaving behind anybody! " I then get him walking with me and then the roof just collapsed right in front of me!

I then started to wonder how in the Caribbean are we supposed to get out of here now. James then told me that there was some gunpowder stored in the storage room. Go get it and set it on the collapsed rubble.

I ran into there and got the gunpowder which was safely put in barrels. I ran and put the barrel right in front of the rubble, lit it and took cover.

BOOM went the gunpowder sending the rubble into a thousand miniature pieces and sending shrapnel everywhere. Surprisingly none of the shrapnel hit us with our luck. Only this was just our only piece of luck I later learn.

We both run out and I tell James to run to the beach and board somebody's ship. " You need to go James, I'll stay back and help any other people stuck in this chaos " James then said " You're a great pirate Dog, and you have a greater heart, you'd make a true first mate and a true pirate. " As he walks away another explosion happens and then everything went in a flash.

Doc Grog's exploded, and then Millie's Cottage along with all of the other buildings. The blacksmiths and the gunsmith's shops were blown up in the action. In the blur of smoke I see the one thing I didn't expect to see.

I saw an EITC soldier carrying around a gunpowder barrel and he was setting it on fire. Not today I thought. I found a dagger right at my feet. I took aim with percision and through it right at the EITC soldier. It caught him right in the leg, he fell and was never, ever seen again.

I then saw other buildings go up in smoke and then I knew that it was too late for Tortuga, the hideout of Pirates. I knew it was its time to cease to exist. As I run to the beach I see Tortuga clearing the smoke and in shambles. But what I see is the strangest thing ever.

I see EITC soldiers and then some of the dockworkers and blacksmiths along with other townsfolk rebuildings this town back together.

" Maybe it isn't time for the Hideout of Pirates to end " I said. And along with that I ran back onto my ship and took refuge as the exlosions continued and shrapnel flew everywhere. I may have missed the ships that killed my father but at least i live another day to try to get vengeance on those ships.

They will pay is what I thought in my mind. I later learned that this was much different from the truth. As I start to set sail, I see the mist clearing and a new Tortuga coming out of the ground, a new Hideout for the pirates.


Tortuga the Hideout of Pirates, has been rebuilt, and its dignity? Well we'll have to see what happens next to answer that question...
