Now you can play Pirates Online using your web browser! We've created a new site at http://apps.test.pirates.go.com/pirates/ and need your help testing it out. You can play Pirates in your web browser using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

Even though you already have Pirates installed on your computer, you will need to install this new version of Pirates to try it. This may take a few minutes, so please be patient! Please provide us with feedback, bugs or issues you experience during this process here.

It's quick and easy to do, just follow the steps below. Thanks for playing!



1. Click the PLAY button in the upper left hand corner of the PiratesOnline Test website.
2. Log in using your Test account information. This is the same information as your Live account.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
4. The game will start downloading automatically.
5. Click the Play button when prompted to launch the game in your web browser.

Is it just me or are they posting this news a bit too late?
Probably because they've had it tested enough, they want to show non-testers that they released test updates only yesterday and they'll probably release it on live a few days from now.

Why would I wanna play on my browser anyway? If I've got to download it either way, I'd far rather play off my sometimes very futzy internet browser. So, thanks, but no thanks.

Maybe some computers can run pirates faster then the download if they play on this? Not sure what they are trying to do with this...
