Better Inventory System

The games seems to be needing a better inventory system. We should be able to trade items like those paintings of the pirate lords and be able to sell them. Also when we defeat monsters like those giant crabs maybe we could get a chunk of crab meat and sell it at a market(like the one at tortuga). It would be a good idea to have a inventory list that shows items we are holding that must be delivered to the computer characters(sometims the quest were u have to get items like steel or wood seems pointless unless u can see it). So what do ya think?

Sounds pretty good, but Disney I believe is already in the works of creating a new inventory system

Its kinda supposed to work like a loot-and-bag inventory system. A very very common type of system, it means that when we plunder something from an enemy, like a piece of treasure, or a quest item (i.e. the loot) and instead of the item going in to our Treasure Collections, it goes directly in to a bag, a place where we can store things, and use them when need be.

In order to work this in to the game, however, Disney is going to have to increase the number/different kinds of plunder/loot enemies drop, BIG TIME. And of course, with a new inventory system, this could open up new quests, like "Loot a Royal Seal from a Navy Officer" or "Collect 10 Alligator skins," and instead of it just saying that you completed the quest, the item will actually show up in your bag. And lets not forget this new system will including buying, selling, trading, etc. etc. Overall, a new inventory system along those lines would help all aspects of the game, especially making the game more involved and interesting.

no i dont cuz it will turn into a game just like "World Of Warcraft".That game is bad nothin' for kids.Adults and Teenagers have invaded that game and if POTCO turns into that the people from WOW(World Of Warcraft) will come to POTCO because all of the severs on WOW are all full.I know this stuff because i used to play.

One game can't " own " ideas i suppose unless its trademarked.

I would like to see the inventory opened up, even to trading among characters, but I would like to see gold remain locked on characters....perhaps they could open it up account wide, but that should be it IMO.

Opening up the open trading of money will just mean the advent of gold sales in this game.

If indeed they are going this way that is exactly the system in Pixie Hollow right now. You run around gathering junk that goes in a pouch. Use it when you need it, but only if you are a member. Non members can only gather it. You trade said items like money. Though in the case of pirates I suppose it would be store it for quests. Seems to me like Pirates is sliding toward the Hollow quite a bit. I'm betting all you guys out there who have tried the Hollow know what I mean.

Personally, I prefer going to get said items when I need them. If I were massing items for quests in a bag or pouch or whatever, then that takes away from the time it takes to do the quests. I'd much rather the quest be drawn out, giving me something to do. I prefer the money we have now to the Hollow style trade an item for what you want thing. Speaking for myself, the only thing I want to see transferred from the Hollow is the storage capacity, which is well up over 60 per item now. I could live with carrying 60 shirts, rings, tattoos, whatever. Hello, Pirate. What self respecting pirate wouldn't love to show off their wealth? But as I said, that's just me.

I agree. The inventory system in this game is the worst in ANY MMORPG. Bar none.
Not enough clothing slots, no trade system, no gifts, etc. Its horrible.

Yeah i agree we need more clothes, mainly hats, we pirates have no good hats to buy lol. And we need some eye patches too.

Maybe a cabin on a boat or a own tavern or cave like barbossa's...

Why not just one of our ships? Would be the best option. You can spend money to upgrade your ship with a 'cabin'. More storage, etc.

Now that idea I really like. That kills a whole lotta birds with one stone so to speak. Gives the ship customization everyone seems to want, better inventory, and a reason to nix the gold cap too.
