When/If the notoriety cap is raised
Will weapon levels be raised too? I hope so because I don't like questing that much...

Well they will most likely put in a couple quests and higher weapon levels.
To have more rep other than questing they have to put in higher weapon levels other wise it would take us a year to go from level 40 to next cap level!!!

I wouldn't mind the weapons going up to level thirty, but if they did I'd only like to see a repeat of levels 21-25. The amount of rep we'd need for levels 26-30 would be tremendous and I bet the developers don't want complaints of how long it takes.
Besides the weapons leveling up I'd like to see our nort raised to at least level 45 and our gold cap to 100,000. |

I just hope they dont go with a Fibinacci progression scheme like they do in Toontown - that would be a bummer. |

Could you explain what that is? if it is the get 500 points to use a certain skill once then im with you there, but if it is the points needed to each level going up each time, it already does that ;-)

Here's an example of the system. Note: Before earning a laff point(One HP point in POTCO) you must earn 5500 merits. That's the highest amount you'll ever need in sellbot HQ before battling a boss. You need to get 5500 merits at Mr. Hollywood(cog enemy) levels 12, 14, 19, 29, 39, and 49. You don't earn a laff point at 12, though. As you go to the next cog HQ, like cashbot HQ, instead of being 5500, it's 8900. Then for lawbot HQ, it's 14400 and for bossbot HQ it's 23300. Notice the pattern? You take the first number and add it to the second number to get the third number. Then to get the fourth number you must add the second number you added before to the third number you got. Now you may be thinking, but how did you get the 8900? Because in sellbot HQ the second highest amount of merits you'll earn is 3400. Adding these together gets you 8900. So if we had this system in POTCO, we would need much more rep to get. Lets just imagine using the same exact numbers that toontown uses. Trying to get 8900 rep for one level would take a while. Sorry if I wasn't too good at explaining the system, another member of TTC(Roger Dog) explained this much better than anyone. This is even a real math system, but I don't remember the name. EDIT: Oops, Heartbreaker just told us. The Fibinacci system. You can go on wiki and see more information. |

Im still a bit confused on how that would be bad for us ( oh and mac, shame on your for not remembering i play toontown 121 laff XD) because its no that big of a deal for me on toontown.

I think it would be bad for us if it were EXACTLY the same way. I just don't think adding in 23300 rep for one level would be a wise thing for the developers to do. Unless of course we could see an enemy level cap of 100 and a pirate cap of 100. James, didn't one of the mods/admins post saying they were able to get their pirate all the way to level 37 by only leveling up weapons? I've never tried doing that with a pirate, though, so I wouldn't know. |

I tried and I got way into 38. Even Captain Walter accidentally reached level 38. Its probably the matter of a few treasure drops which every normal pirate gets. |

Well I would like notoriety caps to finish at lvl60 and weapon caps to finish at lvl40
that way we could max out every attack ,and some new attacks to come. Last edited by toanuju22; 08-16-2009 at 05:09 PM.. |

Toan, the point is to NOT max out every attack, its to have points stratigically placed and be able to figure out which is better, im sure when they extend the weapon cap they will add a new skill or 2 so you have more choices.

I hope they add something after thrust but I can't see how thrust could be part of a combo.

Well , new skills would be good , I can Imagine a Jack the Monkey Shot for cannon.
I disables half the crew of a ship distracts them for 5 seconds and to get rid of the monkey soon , you have to shoot it, but a successful encounter with the monkey would lower the speed of the ship by 20% and steal 40% of the ships ammo. Proving this shot would be very annoying in SvS. But I'm still for maxing out 90% of the skills. For cutlass 15 more skills would be affective , somewhat like this. In cutlass I have currently 3 hack 3 slash 4cleave 4 flourish 4 thrust 1sweep 2brawl 1taunt 3bladestorm 1parry When more weapon lvls would come , like to lvl40 , I would have something like this: Combos maxed bladestorm maxed brawl maxed 3sweep 2parry leaving unmaxed skills still. Oh and you can call me Toa or nuju , I'm not toan. |

Well, they most likely are going to increase the weapon levels, due to two things.
1. Seeing how they added enemies going up to level 50, they are most likely going to raise the Notoriety caps to 50. Because of this, it would make battling enemies a little uneven if a level 40 and a level 50 both had the same weapon levels. Although it is possible for a level 37 and a level 40 to both have all weapons mastered, a 10 level difference seems like much, hm? 2. If you do a little math on how much rep it would take to get from level 40 to 50, it would be over 425,000 rep. If we had to get all of that rep from quests, it would take a long, long, LONG time. If we want to see an increase in Notoriety, unless you want to do over 4000 quests, we need to have an increase in weapon levels. |
