Prepare to be boarded?: A humble suggestion for the Crew of POTCO

Hello Mates! As i was sailing aboard my frigate, The Sea Hawk, I was given a rather rude awakening as I got a little too close to a Navy flag ship, which proceded to give a go at taking me down. As this was happening, it occurred to me that i could pummel him into drift wood, but i would still have to board him all by myself to sink him, when all he has to do is to deliver a few well placed broadsides, and its off to jail for me. Am i not also a flag ship?

So, Crew of POTCO, if ye be reedin this, i have a proposal to put to ye.

Why not make it so that the crew of an enemy flag ship can only take a player ship's damage down to the brink of destruction, then must board the player ship and eliminate it's crew before it can be sunk? That way, if the crew does manage to defeat the aggressors, the player ship still has a small amount of health, and has a fair chance at running to port with plunder intact? This would encourage more players to have a crew, and could also make for some very interesting battles at sea mirroring what tormenta after the update has become, a veritable malesrom battle.

Speaking of malestroms, changing weather on the sea and storms would also make for some fun! Imagine battling it out with a hurricane while keeping your masts intact and crew aboard? sounds like my kind of voyage.

Any an all comments, suggestions, opinions are welcomed, nay, encouraged. If enough players like these ideas, perhaps the POTCO crew may take notice!

Fair winds,

Charlotte Doyle
