Back to Back Updates...And Not A Single Clue
Since the latest updates have gone live, I have experienced two updates while logging in to test. One on 7/31/09 and the other just this morning. The one this morning said it had to change the launcher and left a big "OK" button where the log-in info usually goes. I did it and then couldn't log in until I restarted my PC.
Now, since these updates, my cannon animation won't work. I can aim my cannons but the cannon itself doesn't move. I sent a report and a screenshot. Anyway...Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? Is there a place with release notes just for test? I have no clue if I'm supposed to be looking for anything or if that's it until the next "big" update... |

Submitting logs/screens myself. It seems to be a somewhat normal test process, they put on updates, tinker with them until they are the way they 'think' they want them. Then they announce the changes in release notes so we can test what they think they've fine tuned. Release notes are typically posted 24-36 hours AFTER the updates on test.. go figure. |

We sent bugs about the messed up cannons last night too. I think that the release notes are used more frequently on Pirates with updated content, rather than tweaking, and when they have specific things that they need for us to test. Frankly I would like to see release notes every time there is an update, so we would all know what has been done...

Still problems today with the "OK" button when logging on. Took me over an hour last night downloading the update. Once it said that the download was going to take over 200 days!! I hope they get this fixed tomorrow.

We have a "work around" for the downloading issue. Copy and paste the info from your open (live) pirate’s folder for game_options and last_working_options into the files (of same names) in the test folder. They told both Di and I that our anti-virus-ware was what was keeping us from loading the update, yet somehow we were both able to log on using the info from the open server. (We have different virus protection)

On Toontown Test, they actually do include release notes for every release right after the maintenance period...most of the time. Sometimes they say it's just a maintenance release (when all they were doing was doing changes that we would not see in game), and they sometimes don't tell us about certain changes in the game. (Like changes to the SpeedChat Plus dictionary)
