Need for speed games

Are there any NFS fans out here on the forums? I actually stopped playing POTCO and toontown for a month because I got interested in Need for Speed Undercover.

Anyone else out there love the series?

Underground I think was the title I favored. I don't like the idea of there being a storyline like in Most Wanted. Carbon (I think it was carbon...?) was a departure from street racing, so I didn't like it.

I only remember playing Need For Speed (I think that was what it was) back in late 1989 or early 1990. Someone had loaded it on the PC in the Physics computer lab at college and I was a physics TA and had after hours access to the building and was supposed to be working on writing a program to take intermittent temperature readings (studying Newton's Law of Cooling) and instead was playing Need For Speed.

If it wasn't Need For Speed, it was a similar title.

Oh, and apparently I just really really dated myself...lol

i never played the underground series but I did play NFS Hot Pursuit. I thought they made a mistake making Carbon but once I play Undercover I got hooked once more.

I like the free roaming, street racing NFS games. I didn't even bother playing NFS Prostreet. Now I'm looking forward to NFS shift. I miss the street racing but it looks like it's going to be good. The graphics are good and I hear the driving experience is much more realistic than other NFS games.
