Anybody have any suggestions on the best way to get gold? I already know alot of ways...

1. If you have staff use wither on the group of veterans at kingshead multiple times

2. use you ship

3. use public ship

4. tasks

5. card games

Aside from those you've listed, the method I've always used:

never pass up killing a low level NPC. Sometimes you get 1 or 2 gold, but sometimes you get drops that are worth 25-30 gold, along with cards to use at the poker/blackjack tables.

It doesn't take much time to kill them and it can be well worth it.

How I approach gold-farming, depends on what level my pirate is. High level pirates make the most gold fastest, at SvS. Second fastest is cheating at blackjack (only 20,000 gold/hour.) Third is sailing for NPC ships. Fourth is Kingshead. Fifth is Governor's Gardens. Sixth is boarding public ships, going AFK.

For low level pirates, boarding public ships to attack NPC ships is the only way to fly.

You've pretty much summed it up. Sail, kill enemies, quest and play cards (be careful with gambling it can backfire).

Loot runs on the War Galleon (West of Padre near Outcast) seem to be the most lucrative especially when boarding the Colossus Flag Ship repetitively.

I board public ships. You can get cannon/sailing rep and lots of gold.
By using that tactic, I now have max gold.

ya i knew about public ships... ive gone afk on one 10 times (my dad kept reloading me onto different ships) and i have 10k gold... pretty cool. but it took 18 hrs

or if your levels high enough go to tormenta and start weapon grinding they give you 30-40 gold each

In addition to the suggestions above:

For lower lvl pirates:
Sam Seaborn offers a quest that pays 25 gold for killing any 2 skeletons

Bartholomew Watkins offers 3 quest at time that offer 35 gold each for sinking ships. The quests each specify what kind ship needs to be sunk, but in practice almost any ship will do.


For everyone:
Work for hire quest from both Captain Job and Josie McReedy in the Royal Anchor on Port Royal and Defeat enemies from Johnny McVane in Kings Arm on Tortuga pay 10 gold plus 5 times your notoriety level for killing varying number of enemies. Might as well get paid for leveling.

We can't leave out Treasure sense. The more points you have on it the better the plunder will be when you sail.

What im doing now is im taking my grenades, and having my friend come 2 use his staff, and we dt kingshead trains. we get about 500-1k depending on the train length. In an hour is about eh 20k *same as blackjack* the trouble is health. We spend about 50-75% on our tonics bc we have 2 attack the enemy 2 make them follow us. We get every1 in the main square 2 follow and we just nade/wither them. Its hard, but if u can manage, rewards are a plenty.

We used to similarly have a pirate or two after gold sweep the vets with their cutlass as another leveled staff on them. The only downside here is as you progress/level, the value/amount of gold rewarded diminishs. Once they go grey on you.. your struggling again to fill your pocket as they reward less gold.
