First off I will say I feel sorry for those international players that are not allowed to pay and get unlimited.

As a player with many characters seeing all of them loose constantly something has been ridiculous. 2/3 damage in cannon in svs, all damage in pvp but grenade, dagger damage, cutlass-dagger choice of combos, hex shot type issues. Other than mention of change in dagger, none of these other things were mentioned anywhere and just changed out of the blue.

With the losses paying customers have been continually getting I am all for dumping all free accounts period. Get rid of the problem. My patience has ran out on the its no fare those guys can pound us basic player garbage that has been keeping this game from going anywhere but forward.

Needless to say, I don't find it to concerning if basic players can't get a better weapon or another rescent post, bigger ship.

I am sure I am not the only one that feels that way, just others have been trying to be polite. The more they keep taking away from payed accounts, the more likely there is going to be clash between these two opposing factions.

SvS is new, it has lots of cheats/glitchs, its going to require tweaking for perfection including changes in cannon strength, etc. Same thing for PvP, as players find new ways to exploit the game they must find ways to curb things and keep them fair. Having come here with years of online experience in PvP shooter style games etc I already recognize that game developers must constantly update and tweak these engines to keep game play fair. Change can be expected in games with this focus as people are always trying to find a way to exploit and gain advantage.

As a player that has absolutely ZERO interest in PvP/SvS play I have seen nothing but improvement in the overall game. I note they are trying to fix things, and that if there was any complaint I had it was they took our cool glitchs out, but even then I see that as progress and getting things done. And we do need something to keep us level 40's busy/content.

As for the issue of what a Basic member gets vs an unlimited player. I do sympathize for those that are unable to pay, or do not have means, etc. However that does not set them aside and place them in a special pool of the "we should get it all for free" people. I do grow a bit tired of complaints from those that get more than they pay for.. they pay nothing and get a game, and in so complaining, they are trying to make it so those of us that do pay, get less for our money.

I think POTCO has a good balance now and should stop playing with this break down between basic/unlimited.

As for the iron cutlass, bummer, kind of a non-issue for me. As an unlimited player I stopped buying those when weapons quests came out for higher level weapons. Only buy the 3 barrel pistol now as an upgrade.

I was on the first online game out back in the day, so I am well familiar with pvp systems.

I agree there needs to be balance, the point is the balance has not been unlimited accounts, or better put 40 level characters against other 40 level characters. My feeling is most these changes have all to do with pvp and payed accounts have taken a much bigger hit than basic.

With that said, I have been betting on a higher cap for awhile now seeing all these.

As for glitches I am happy to see a lot of them go, that were causing other game issues. Some that I have seen complaints about basically used for just cheating against others. Some like walking off ships, I think there are just as interesting ones, such as flying in the quarry, and floating through the rocks and out on the water.

Some of these things like hex shot have been around as long as I have had 40 level characters. Seeing these changes after so long it does seem drastic. From what I heard from a gm today, looks like hex shot may still be getting some work.

From what I have heard from most and questions to the GM's, we all are ready for new adventures and not focus just on pvp. Though there is still things they are working at for the curse.

I have not bought upgrades or done quests for weapons either on my latest guy, been a bit tricky avoiding all the level 15 quests. I do understand though at basic, if the skill is maxed to want a higher weapon.
