Test Release Notes-November 13, 2008

  • Added various holiday events
  • Enemies are no longer appearing tiny
  • Voodoo meter added to enemies' health display when engaged in battle with a voodoo doll using a foe (I believe it's with a foe using a voodoo doll.)
  • The break Attunment effect caused by Dagger Asp and Throw Dirt now prevents enemy NPCs from casting voodoo hexes for 15 seconds
  • Draining an enemy NPC's voodoo power to 0 with Hex Eater will now prevent it from casting spells for 10 seconds
  • Added a disk space check to the launcher
  • Various bug fixes for crashes and other show issues

Looks like good updates, no more midget monsters!

Sweet! The voodoo/hex eater related updates hopefully will be most awesome! This should make hex eater more useful since they dorked it up.

Thats's cool, especially that the break attunment will actually do something, lol. Hope they can get this live soon

So the break attunement with dagger is for 15 seconds (use throw dirt, it's free), and the PIstol's Hex eater only lasts 10 seconds and costs to re-ammo? That is lame. The Hex eater ought to last 20 seconds and have the break attunment stay at 15 seconds. I wish they hadn't dorked it up in the first place, but this is better than it has been.........which is not saying much.

Well, at least the break attunement and hex shot are something of an improvement over what we've got now.

I think I'll miss those tee-tiny scorps though. They were cute lil' frisky buggers.

My first focus on Test tonight will be jut to see if they actually fixed Hex to work right (ie. if after 10 seconds the Caster can spell again - can I re-hex him for another 10 seconds...) otherwise its a waste of time (and I've already moved on to forumlate other methods of HI REP...)

THEN If it works - I'm bombarding them to raise to to 25 seconds! LOL

We'll also see if the Chat Box works right... its runing all the good pics lately...

So - Hex Shot is working as designed Its a step in the right direction:

- You shoot a Gyp until is Voodoo is gone (bar shows his voodoo amount along with numbers)
- When empty, you can do anything for 10 seconds (switch to another weapon and hit, just stand there) and he does not start recasting immediately
- When he does begin recasting, he CAN be rehexed and stops again for another 10 seconds

This shows great promise, and the first time in a month I've been able to use this smiley at the end of a sentence when talking about Hex -

Now to make it at least worthy - it needs to be raised to 20 - 25 seconds... the only real issues is that the hardest weapons to level (-GERNADES-) cannot be uesd really well as by the time they load - his time is up and he can start casting again... at least 25 seconds would aloow a few volleys off before he could recast and need to be rehexed.

Chat Box still broken (boo...) and I haven't found any 'holiday' nifty things yet... but will continue to look on... and haven't found any 'tiny creatures' so this may be fixed as well (interface gets an upgrade to v13, game enviroment is now v50)
