Here is the 34 level, since people have been talking about it.
Right now can't say they are to tough, hope they get some upgrading, at least bigger ones, and all the over level 20 in the skill quests. There has been some improvements, I like the upgrade to open fire. My strongest arguments is the downgrades to dagger and cutlass, and forced skill combos. Where we should be getting ability to get points in such things as blade instinct back that aren't used, it stands now that we will be penalized for redoing dagger or cutlass. If its released this way, better hope you have your points where you want them in these. I would also like my damage back in cannon 1050 - 2100, its ridiculous to beckon to people that won't work at their skills and can't svs. Now also live 900-1800 and less than half damage in svs is ridiculous. I did a solo bb before server crashed before this picture, and ran out of fury on the first three bridges, pff. Fix a cheat like healing on the run, and give us straws and spit wads to shoot with when it might actually work isn't for me. A huge lost in cannon like this than 100 points off eviserate is not the sort of things I am looking for. Rather just have the full effect of blade instinct than downgrades. Hope I am not the only one pushing for going forward rather than backwards in all these stats? Let them know, send stuff in , I been on test for a month level 40, and don't want to see garbage like the svs with all the glitches go live. Or forced downgrades to those that worked on their character, locked skills, and lost of choice of our point allications when we are given so few for the skills we choose. Ok first, yes that is the pistol, sorta snuck that in as a sneak peak if people bothered looking at the picture, lol.
Open fire can be seen now in a timer, so for those that were guessing in svs like I was, every time I jumped to cannon i hit open fire first. Now you can see that you get to a cannon and get first round off before it runs out. This is one of the things knowledgeable people would do in svs to increase cannon damage. (course that would require working at a character slightly to get) Dagger, cutlass as it stands, I will explain since it is totally something I don't care for and will be assuming others are not going to like either. Again this is something at currant status, and not necessarily how it will end up. People "lets say Jack Sparrow" who know what they are doing, don't aways follow all rules of combat of fair play to win. He most likely is not going to go hack, slash, cleave, flourish, repeat. He is going to do something like hack, slash, flourish = pirate. We have been able to do this sort of thing, you do your points over again, you will no longer be able to do that. As in cannon, I again don't want to loose a bunch of damage. I can only assume with flourish it was reduced like dagger eviserate, can't find anyone on test with proper stats to verify though. Since I was just finishing cutlass and working on rep, I have 1 point in hack, slash, flourish. With skipping cleave and previously opening flourish I have the combo. No longer will you be able to take flourish before cleave, or put points into flourish if you previously had it, without opening cleave. Dagger I have a similar build, but this time had all 5 points in eviserate. With 4 points in blade instinct the damage was 255-510, as it still exists on live. New settings with the upcoming build reduced that to 204-408. With limited amount of points, I would like to put them where I want them and not into things I don't like, such as cleave in the above example. So its a lost to recover the 5th point of blade instinct that has no effect, to have to use it in something else you don't want like cleave/ or dagger counter part. I am stubborn, and nobody will ever change my mind on something I have done. With several characters with starting bounty of 100 when their ship come in svs, I have done it a few times I think. Perhaps someone was silly enough to let a ship come right up on them with 5 points in explosive, and open fire might do some massive damage. I have used lightning and fury quite a bit never seen a ship go down with one shot, or series of shots. What I do know is any level 12 character wants to svs with the big boys, get to work. Hmm took a month with a difficult build to reach 40. Some one doesn't want to pay for a account, and rather spend twice as much going to a movie probably a couple times a month, we all have our priorities. With I believe 4 characters doing bb solo, I can make it what half way now with max stats, doesn't work for me. All so a few people who don't want to pay, or work at their character can try to be as good as those that have. So those that have can be penalized in all game play? There are things I agree with, and one of those things is healing on the run in svs, that should of never reached live in the first place. Ramming or anything else lagging out other players for 5 -15 second slots, should of never reached live. Walking off ship, using voodoo or anything similar, should of never reached live. Instead of fixing main issues like these, and throwing it out there penalizing better players is ridiculous. Pvp as svs I no longer do since neither have been made playable or based on anything but who can cheat best. PVP I have logged on two characters and hit my other character all the way across the room with cutlass. I have seen the rock glitch and being underground or above hitting them out of their reach. Seen the undead bugs hitting from a distance again type stuff. Any of this fixed, don't know. I suppose we all should have our Cutlass taken away, with the direction these fixes are heading. |

Now having said this I think the quests to defeat the bosses means fighting them a lot! I think because of the glow and how much bigger the "bosses" are than normal I'm guessing this has something to do with Jolly Roger. Found two bosses on Kingshead:
Assassin Boss name Remington the Killer max level is 35 and Veteran Boss name Sid Shiver max level 16 ? ![]() ![]()

The blastmage, in short you sorta get it. There is a lot of factors that I am going to basically step out on a limb and say most people just don't get. So this is not something simple to explain.
I haven't heard different on cutlass, and can't say damage has been changed. It is locked though that you can't add to skills if previous skills are not open. Yes the dagger is suppose to be for the effect of back stab. Things like swipe being also dropped from 90-180 damage to 78-156. The result is lost damage and you have about five pictures right here on this page why. See any of those critters conveniently turning around so you can hit them in the back. I think I did two levels on dagger with this test and saw a back stab blow two times the entire time. That was on Urchinfist that were always backing and running away to throw a grenade. Perhaps good for throwing attacks, but that is not where the changes were made i am referring to. Most people from what I can tell are not following what the effects do with blade instinct, in this case. Having enough 40 level characters sitting at 5 points, 4 points and some less in blade instinct, barrage, spirit mastery, I have tracked what happens when you put points into these skills. The skill basically says you get 25% with 5 points, 20% with 4 points etc. The max that we have been getting is around 19%. So if you put 4 points, you still have 19%. If you put 5 points you still have 19%. You put 3 points you drop to 15%. The result of this has been the 5th point has been always wasted putting it in these skills. Penalized = loose like 6 or whatever it works out to levels in cannon on say 6 characters. And for that matter if you can't really attack anything from behind, now 6 characters lost up to 100 points damage in one dagger attack as well as damage on other attacks. Not everything is a negative side, this is just a few things I have issues with on some of this stuff. There is a lot of other things happening, and much for the better. Some will think not for the better but shouldn't of been happening in the first place. I have seen lots of glitches fixed and there will not be any longer barrier fighting. ((something between you and a critter protecting you from being hit)) Bosses are a nice addition, and not all are at a specific quest location. I have yet seen one spawn on a colossuss flag ship, but have seen them spawn of other flag ships. As well fought a stump boss today, random spawn. I don't recall anything special off the bosses at this time, but are worth more rep. In general a lot more healthy is what I would call them, not so much massive hitters. I mentioned open fire, it will be in my opinion a adjusting skill in the future, as people work out what timing it will take to do something like a broadside wait for the hit, race to cannon, and shoot three fury before it runs out. Though I need to play with that more, and not even sure fury is getting the effect or not. In general there are hang ups and things they I am sure are working out. As mentioned here, hex shot is not working. I see future grenade work going to be quite a choir, likely impossible with out hex shot effects. I believe also in the notes it said something about increased damage, but maybe that was just pvp, not good for leveling. There are chat issues, and things all that hopefully getting worked out before it hits live. |

I have found bosses on Cuba and Isla Perdida. They are probably on Cutthroat and Padres too, but I haven't checked yet.

ok guys the bosses might be low lv but they are made fore the people of that lv....
like simon the butcher is a lv 2 undead bandit but he is stropng for lv 2s he has more health so..... i think disney should rasie the lv cap to the actual lvl they are becasue now they just look plain silly.... |
