When will potco open?

Not quite. Read the previous post above yours. Some beta testers are getting an email from disney saying it is weeks away from launching the game. So we can forget about the game launching the same day or before the movie.

Warioguy, the disney magazine you read could have been correct in it's date, back then. I also read in news articles that the game would be released along with the movie. But it could very well be that disney is pushing back the launch date, to work on the game some more.

So maybe they had a set date months back and have changed it since.

Anywho, the game has come a long way since last month. (Or even the month before ). I am thinking they might just reach a stable release soon.

well ill keep me eyes open i'm not a beta tester im mad about that but oh well LOL if i make day 1 ill be fine LOL i don't usually get on day 1 something goes wrong with game so i dont LOL

This is going to take more than a few patches! even if we are playing on sub servers with terrible access time, the whole look is not very clean. The games out for the XBOX 360 and PS3 put this to shame.

They are a few months from live process. I cant see them delivering this to the market, the critics would kill every chance for long term survival

I was reading the forums, and they were talking about when it will open... someone said" They have probably done more patches than they realeased, so it could open any time!" When I read that I felt the same way! So don't get your hopes down!Lol .Someone also said
"They wouldn't give a realese date (Spring 2007) and not go by it!" So it could open at any second!

well, the problem with that is, there are only two more days after today and well, it doesn't look like it will open anytime soon lol

When they announce a date, it will be in regards to a date further in the future than a day or two. The announcment won't go "hey guys, we just put the game up for download now, hah our bandwitch is going to die!". It will be more like "In 2 weeks time you strange people who genuinely believe you are actually pirates, will be able to play our game"!
And I was a sceptic.... but actually quite looking forward to it! Gonna have to find time to play that and Lord of the Rings Onilne.

ya i dont see the devs hold back on patches at this time, with the problems people are having in game.

i would say its gonna be awhile.

i really think maybe they planned a release around the movie to insure good signups for revenue, but the beta thats happening now would have had to happen awhile ago.

I'm prediting Late-June, Early-July. The game is still bugged up as people are saying.

Most of the testers I have been chatting with and I few Devs I have bumped into in game are estimating early Fall.. but again who knows.. Look back 4 years ago when I beta tested SWG the laucnh was put off 15 times or so almost a whole year.. BUt I can tell u one thing the day that u can run freely around using a cheap computer in boring grahpics mode full screen with out any lag it will be ready.. I am thinking July or august myself, but they havent even designed the log off and logon systems yet.. They have to make it so u dont spwan back where you died. I am like most of you guys who have toons stuck in death loops beacuse of the lag by the time thier servers catch up with my computer i am dead lol.. gotta love beta testing.. :-)

That's the reporters assumption. They said Disney has not set a launch date.
Right now, I would only keep my eye on www.PiratesOnline.com and wait for them to announce the date.
