I am lucky being on the west coast. When its late for me, its wee hours of the morning for everyone else. I always find areas to level.

It took me about 5 sailing trips to find an empty Kingshead so i can finally start leveling the grenades on my new pirate. I wonder how long it will stay quiet though
Had a few pests stealing rep and they were level 29, they should know not to bug and steal rep from someone leveling grenades. Thank you for putting in the time to write this guide, very detailed I'm making sure i level up grenades before i hit 40 like i did on my first pirate, what a nightmare for rep...

I just got my level 20 notoriety. Where do you have to go to begin the grenade quest?

I meant, where do I go to receive my first objective of the quest, so I can track the ray of light...

Once you hit Notoriety 20 you should get a quest to visit Jack Sparrow to unlock the grenades i think, check your journal and track it there. After that you're told you look in MANY crates at Kingshead and other forts.
