Guide to level nade for high level pirates
This guide is for pirates with 35+ level and above 1800 health, and a nade of above 12+ level.
With the SvS coming out, it seems that those passive skills in Nade have become increasingly important to have, such as the skill to increase cannon damage area, decrease cannon damage, etcs. Also, Seige bomb is such a cool skill to have, and possible the most devastating attacks in the game. But like me, and like many other high level pirates, you probably didn't bother to level up your nade until , uh, say you run out of the stuff to do. And by then you are probably close to maxing your character and all your other weapons. The veteran formations in KH now don't do you any good, what do you do! The way I did it is going to the catacomb (the skeleton cave in padres). Go Down to the 2nd level and clear the floor with your basic nade type. The way to do is: 1. First hit the raider and the officer group with you nade, they will follow you (start running) 2. Second hit the raider and the 2 sergeant group with nade, they will follow you (keep running) 3. Then hit the raider and the mercenary group with nade, they will follow you (Now run toward the higher platform where the jolly roger statue is) 4. There will be either gypsy or raider on the higher platform where the big jolly roger statue is, hit the raiders and not the gypsies with nades, they will jump off the platform, and follow you (run!!!) 5. Now you got around 4~5 raiders and some other peep chasing your behind, try keep your distance, back peddle, and keep throwing nades til they all dead. This way, I got about 20 exp per raiders and that is about 100 exp per round. After the round, hex drain the gypsies around you, and life drain them to heal. Bring a friend with you to heal you, and bring plenty of tonics. Leveling nades in catacomb second level is much more effective compared to say in Tormenta, because tormenta has such a mixed bunch of enemies, such as voodoo users, whereas in Catacomb 2nd level, most of the enemies are melee users and they all cluster to chase you around once you engage, so you nades can hit all of them. |

Same area.. Catacombs, Stairs leading down to second level. Stand on bottom 3/4 steps.
Throw nades at raiders/eitc/officers etc to the left of those stairs (standing looking down the stairs). The rocks alongside of the stairs (that your throwing nades over) will offer protection similar to the fence at kingshead. Its not perfect, if you get too close, they can hit you. I wasnt able to attack the whole floor there, but could get a couple raiders and a merc into each round. You may not see them mulling about there on the other side of the rocks, but you can keep nading them.

If you know how to get behind that wall to the right at the bottom of the stairs, that is also a good spot to stand and throw nades. Bring a healer to heal you and give crew bonus, or fill up on tonics cause you will take damage. I long volley smoke bomb to draw the Merc and Raider then a shorter volley for the two navy and Raider and this usually draws the other navy and raider that is closer, then I switch to Fire Bomb and bombs away. Sometimes they come through the wall in mass, but mostly the raiders are the ones doing all the damage to you. The officers don't give enough rep to be considered much of anything beneficial, but I averaged up to 50 per Raider in rep. Unfortunately it requires a wall glitch to get there, which some may be against, but the end result is no different than being behind the fence in Kings (except for the daggers coming your way )Chele - who at lvl 38, finally mastered her nades this past Saturday. Now to master that dang pistol - Tormenta here I come. |

We might be talking about the same spot, I was describing it from memory. I just remembered the stairs, and rocks along side.. matter of fact, there is no wall there, unless you calling the rocks.. walls? Or do you mean a wall glitch of sorts. I dont use those, personal preference.

Can you put this in your guide?
If you use the pistol or any other weapon on any enemy and then finishing it off with one nade you'll get much more rep. How? Well using your pistol on a stump you might get 60 rep right? Well finish it off with one nade and you'll that rep! How great is that getting extra rep with using one nade! I've tried this before and i'll never find a better way to level my nades up. |

I call it a wall because it is a rock wall that goes all along that side. I don't consider it a wall glitch because you are standing out in the open, but behind that low rock wall (you are floating above lava). It does require a wall glitch to GET there but then you are out of it once you arrive. And with most wall glitches I've been in you don't get damaged because they are blocked from getting to you. In this the raiders are standing there throwing daggers at you. Not only that but ppl will see you and they usually like to TP to you and then you have to convince them to take turns or you'll be there FOREVER trying to train (especially when they are staffing them when you are nading). I have been on the enemy side of that wall getting attacked and been pushed through the wall a couple times. |

It doesn't split the XP up across the weapon used for the kill? That would be awesome! |

I cant wait for my 3rd avi to get her nades.. I messed up on my other two.. I will not this time..
She is going to master her nades when she gets them, and not do anything else until they are.. Forget waiting til last minute to do them.. They are useless anyway.. So far, she is L16, so I have a few more levels to get her to first to do the nade quest yet.. |

I tried attacking enemies with my sword, then finishing off with grenades, while I still got higher xp from each kill, it was proportionately assigned to the weapons used.
So no luck on that tactic. |
