Quest Idea:The Great Invasion
Some personal friends and I have discussed quests that would be great for the game, I have an example of one here.
Something along the lines of a Quest where you go to see Will Turner, whom you figure out is at the Governer's Mansion. But, not to see Elizabeth, but to defend her from the Swarm of undead enemies. You end up having to run through a city of navy soldiers trying to fight off undead enemies that are trying to reach the mansion to get a Cutlass. A Cutlass that belonged to Jolly Roger, that had been stolen by Captain Swann. Though you have to kill multiple enemies outside of the mansion, they easily break through and start to all run into the mansion. The guards hold them off or a short time, as you have to enter the mansion through a back window. As you meet Will Turner who is fighting with a horde of undead enemies, he quickly tells you to hurry and find the Cutlass in the room right next to where you are You obtain the Cutlass in the room, and are able to use it to help Will Turner defeat the Skeletons. With every swing, a fury like aura comes off the sword, as it kills most undeads with a matter of a few blows. Though, if you hold the sword, and you are attacked you may lose health and not be able to recover. So be weary, and do your best bidding to win the fight, it may be tough to win, but it will be a true challenge. If you are able to win the Battle, you will go and see Will Turner in the Warehouse, where he intrusts you with the Cutlass. (The Cutlass can be equiped and changed to another Cutlass at your moment of choice, though this cutlass has great power it may kill.) Last edited by Harukantos; 07-18-2008 at 02:49 PM.. Still, the weapon is meant to be strong, but not misused, so that's why you can't recover from your wound with it. May be a powerful thing to pay, but, you may want to stock up on some tonics and bring some friends. Though, the more friends you have, I expect there to be many more enemies, since they can heal you as you do the fight and still last a while. This may not happen to come a Quest, odds are 1 to a Million, but, still, I know many people who would like this idea.

Fixed the font, so, it should be a little bit easier to read, though, I don't understand what point your getting at Swashbuckler, mind explaining?

Quote:
I believe Swash's point is that if this proposed activity were taking place it would directly interfere with other pirates at different levels of the questing, etc. To implement a battle of such scale in a rather frequented public area (ie governors mansion), would require the pirate be TP'd to a temporary battle ground (like the Boss Battle, or PvP) before it could be initiated to avoid conflicts with other pirates going about thier daily business. If that is not what he meant, it is definately one complication. The idea is still cool

I thought about that, then said to give up to myself, but, I didn't, this battle would be sort of like the Boss Battle, unless there were some sort of server for yourself and your friends alone.

Why not have it like it's a different govenor's mansion, Say on a private island or something? That way you dont have to worry about interference, maybe you sail there with Will, and then you split up with him as he goes out to fight them, and you go on your way there

Rather nice Idea Greenee, would take some time to make up a plot for the thing, but, I'll try and post it on a Blog or something.
