Mac play Choppy while on boat.

Ever since the emergency upgrade the other evening I have been pretty much unable to play the game if I go out to sea. The game play gets so choppy that while at see the scene starts then stops over and over. I can drive from island to island, but the moment I engage an enemy the game play is horrible. I have tried three different Intel based macs running 10.5. I have reinstalled the Prirates program. I have tried on two different networks. My wife also has the same issue on her macbook. I am getting frustrated to the point that the game play is unbearable. Anyone have any suggestions? I have submitted a support ticket and have not heard back from anyone.
Thank you,
Ben

that was happening to me too and i play on a macbook, what i did was set all the graphic settings on low... well i changed all the settings to low. It runs alot better. You can also get more memory for your computer but changing the settings worked for me.

I still feel this is related to the latest update. I have played it on a desktop with dual quad core 3ghz xeon intels with 4gb of ram and have the same issue. When I had a second live chat last evening the tech told me they are having "Major Issues" with mac computers since the last update. Some work just fine, other don't work at all, and some have the issue I am having now. I hope they find a solution soon.

Post Mac/Leopard 10.5.3

Hi,I'm running Leopard 10.5.3 on a Powerbook G4 and cannot play at all because of graphic issues, could it be that the problem with Macs is specific to Leopard?Do you know anyone that is having the problems we are having with Tiger?..Reply asap as I'm seriously thinking to downgrade back to Tiger....Grey
