Thanks all, you are a right friendly, helpful bunch. I've had several kind offers of help.
However I bumped into a pirate "friend" just after lunch who wanted help on a quest. I helped him, he helped me, both quests completed, and we both ended up in jail (program seized up just as we were fighting a "heavy" for sport and Rep. ) Crimson Rose |

Peeve! I'm almost at the end of the high-level clothes quest, and Adoria Dolores gave me the pants - ugly charcoal grey (although not bad with my white blouse and crimson sash) - and said she'd work on the belt and boots.
I'm a petite lady. I am polite and helpful. I do my best to look good at all times (except maybe when I'm alone in a grotto.) Where are my slippers? Crimson Rose Last edited by Brain; 01-30-2012 at 10:30 PM.. Reason: Non-PG |

Short black boots. Not bad. I think I'll keep them. They go well with some of my outfits.
If you're reading this and you are one of the several characters that helped me in my quest, many thanks. (I still want some real shoes, though.) Crimson Rose |

I'm not overly fond of shoes. My name is not Imelda Marcos. I just can't stand those big clunky boots. Barefoot on a ship is okay, but in town and in the grottos, not so good. You don't know what you will step in.
I'm a petite woman (who enjoys whacking those big domineering men,) and I don't think I look good in big boots. One pair of shoes is all I ask. Black, with a gold buckle. Crimson Rose |

Maybe these Peddlers will one day sell you what you're looking for. I think in November they did sell shoes for the ladies. I don't think they were black though.
Just go to their official website and fill out that Feedback form. Let them know how you would like to see them shoes in the Tailor shops. And why stop at just having one color? Why not choose the color as well from that generic color plate? Funny thing is no one is bothered by the fact that our pirates don't even wear socks. lol, maybe we should have them sell it too. Come to think of it, what about underwear? Our mamas wants us to wear clean ones! How can we? They don't sell any! rofl I could write to them too. I believe a little reverse psychology with a touch of charm best expressed by only a fine gentleman of my stature could certainly speed up that process.

If I remove all my (character's) clothes, I'm left standing there in (under)shorts and a light (under)shirt. I presume the guys are somewhat the same, except they don't have undershirts. I've seen some of the characters going around bare chested.
The bad news is, we can't change our underwear. The good news is, we don't have to do laundry. I bought the new February hat, blouse and skirt as soon as they were out. Not bad, but not flashy. Then I cringed because the next thing I had to do was run through the Cuban swamp to go see Tia Dalma. On the way back to the row boat I accidentally stepped off the drop-off near the boat and had to swim for it. What a wonderful world it is where you can go splashing thru a swamp and then swimming, and step out with your clothes looking fresh and new and your hair and makeup perfect. Crimson Rose |

Adora on PDF does have some nice finery and the gals do have the advantage of having ankle, calf and thigh high boots available while the gents only have ankle and calf high. But, other options would still be nice. Shoes for many were a luxury to be sure as were any clothes beyond strictly necessity. But, we folk here know that only so much of POTCO is based on historical fact and its those little bends of reality that add flourish to our experience.
