I could only play for less than 15 minutes yesterday but almost went up a cannon level during that time! Seeing "+220" for Ogres and level 27 skeleton ships was awesome.

The seas in front of Padres were packed which turned out to be very profitable. On my way back to port, I fired broadsides in all directions. With seven other War Galleons out there balsting everything to pieces, everything I hit went down and I ended up with a dozen Royal Chests and made 1700 gold during two runs!

And I guess that is going to be the rule of the day. Since all the popular spots are going to be packed, I plan to attack everything I see since there will not be time to move from server to server and besides they will all be crammed with players like me. Basically I plan to fight like a pirate for three hours so my apologies in advance to those of you who consider this bad etiquette. Arrgh!

Agreed. Normally I'm very courtious with reguards to kill stealing, but today when Tormentia cave was packed it was every scallywag for themselves. I had one guy give me problems for blasting a mollusk with my staff for 20pts of damage a hit (he's lucky I didn't flaming skull!), while he did the same with his gun, but other than that everything was cool.

Sorry to those in the cave whos kills I hogged, but it will warm your heart to know that I leveled my staff and pistol in less than an hour. I'll make it up to you all when the reps not doubled.

I had a lot more lag today than I did yesterday, on Galaira, Guyago, & Eustabia (all Quiet when I logged in); I also had significant lag even when I was far from crowded map areas. Furthermore, I crashed 3 separate times in about 50 minutes of total play time.

I ended up not playing beyond those rough 50 minutes. I got my 20 Sailing yesterday, so at this point I'm no longer in any particular hurry for other levels anyway. All in all, though, this weekend felt *a lot* like a peak server load test deep into some game's beta testing phase...which I suppose is about right, since the game's stability is about equal to a beta that is just about ready to go public.

Agreed! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought. I crewed up and sailed my War Galleon from Padres and quickly got a cannon level up. I then planned to sail directly to Kingshead in my War Sloop but there were too many tempting targets to shoot at. I eventually got there and the field was chaos. I couldn't tell who was doing what. Someone was behind the fence with grenades, someone was in the field with a staff and others were running around. I ran through the Vets and lured a few and blasted them with my staff but the lag was terrible.

I ran up the hill luring enemies together and hitting them with my staff. I ran though town and to the fort grouping Officers together and blasting them and leveled up my staff. I switched to my cutlass and attacked every Officer i could find. I saw a couple of Level 4 and 6 characters in there who were quickly killed. Normally I might have tried to save them, but I did not have time for that today.

I leveled up my Cutlass and moved up to the upper levels since the place was starting to become crowded. The lag up there was terrible but I was able to get 118 rep from mid-level Officers by throwing dirt and asps a lot. However, I kept getting nailed during the lag and used all my tonics. I was not going to spend any time Groggy today so I TP'd back to Padres to restock.

I ran to El Sudoron which was a mob scene. Every Stump was being bombarded with grenades. I wanted the Gypsies in the graveyard and that was actually open. I neutralized them with Hex Eaters and then flailed away with them with my dagger using only the basic attack and throwing dirt and got 210 rep each and quickly moved up a level.

With time running out, I ran to Padres beach and through all my Smoke Bombs at a level 28 Gypsy and got 220 rep for that just before time expired. Not bad for three hours. I moved to Level 32 somewhere at Kingshead as well.

I think this is going to make regular leveling extra dull. :/
