Petition:Release the Kraken

Nearly two years players have waited for the "Kraken" today I learned that it was all a scam to get players to buy unlimited well across all the Pirates Online wikis and forums.We must unite to make disney ."Release the Kraken".Together we can make this happen.

A few things to say.

1. Do you honestly think that POTCO will listen to this petition? If they haven't released it by now, then I doubt that a petition, unless you got a signature from everyone in the game (which is pretty impossible) is going to make them release it. I hate to break your spirit mate, but POTCO does not listen to these kinds of petitions.

2. Are you aware of all the other stuff they are doing, like Scoundrel of the Seas? They are working on a lot of really cool updates, and are you really this focused on some oversized calamari that you are ignoring all the other great stuff that they are giving us? Honestly, there are so many other great updates out there that they are working on/have given us that this squid is pretty unimportant. There's other stuff I'd like more. Making a petition for one update that most people will enjoy for just a short period of time before getting bored with it (lets face it, that's how its gonna be with The Kraken) is quite selfish and ungrateful, considering you seem to have not noticed all the rest of the hard work they've been doing.

3. When they said it was going to be released two years ago, I think they meant it. I'll bet that something came up, such as a bug that couldn't be fixed, and they decided to discontinue it, and go work on all the other amazing updates we've gotten, like El Patron's Lost Weapons. Just forget it mate, if they said it would come two years ago, and it hasn't come, I doubt its coming for a while or ever for that matter. Just quit focusing on this one little thing and actually look at all the great stuff you have.

4. I highly doubt that theory about it being a scam. That's definitely not something they would do, and I'm not even sure if that kind of thing is completely legal.

Sorry to go on like that with that semi-rant, but I wanted to get my point across. There's no point in bugging them for The Kraken. When you look at all this other great stuff we have, I'm pretty sure what we have is better than some calamari.

I hate to break it to you, but if they do release the kraken all that will happen is:
A) Tentacles will come up out of the sea, everyone blows them up with blunder, its over.
B) People get mad that it's so easy

Oh, and if they lied about the kraken, they could be sued for false advertising. So, no it probably wasn't a scam. Like Davy said, something probably came up.

I highly doubt it was a short amount of time. And plus, an island is probably easier to make (and less buggy) than a moving creature that attacks, makes sound effects, and all that. And again, why are you say crazy about this squid? Its not that big of a deal. Have you noticed all the other great updates that we've gotten? The Kraken isn't a big deal. I'll say it again, they probably ran into some crazy bug with it, which is understandable considering how complex the beast would be. An update with a huge bug that makes it unplayable is as good as no update at all.

As an Admin of the POTCO Players Wiki please accept my humble apology. Please ignore this petition which I am in total protest of. DO NOT sign it. This will resolve nothing... and all it will do is cause problems and delay further development of the game. I am completely content with the way things are now. As I stated, this will not help the situation, the update will come when it is ready... and pestering them with this irrational "petition" will only slow things down. If necessary I will delete it soon.

And can a mod remove the link... he is advertising the Wiki.

I don't really want the Kraken to come out. It's VERY buggy, will get old quick, and will be annoying, because it'll pop out of no where, and well... I think all the other updates are cool.

I think the Kraken would not be worth the time to make.
It would take several months to even a year to make it, and only take a day to defeat.
Unless it comes with a long quest chain, in which case would take several years to make, and take a week to complete.

If it is released, I don't think it'll live up to all the hype. Like others have said, it's just this giant squid that pops up and attacks you. Yeah. I've always wanted that.

They could make the Kraken the second story end boss (like the black pearl quest ) the culmination being you have to get together a crew to take it down. Only it would have to be a lot harder seeing as pirates Notoriety has been raised and there are far more weapons available now. If it was the end of the second story chapter it would take more than a day to finish the quest and fight the beastie! hehe
And no I will not be signing the petition. The Kraken will be released when it is the right time to do so.

Islands are pretty much just a bunch of shapes thrown together and smoothed out. They throw some enemies and, BAM, it's good.

The Kraken would consist of more complex shapes, judging by how I've seen it in the POTCO movies. Not to mention creating a new AI for this beast. Then, depending if they would put it in the open ocean and just have it attack randomly, (this would take probably more in depth AI) or if it was a boss battle,(maybe a new location) it would take significantly longer then an island.

If it hasn't come out by now, it won't be coming out. Honestly, I'm not worrying about it coming out, nor am I still wishing it does. I'd rather see Disney focusing on other concepts to make this game better. I've been waiting 4 years, but it's time to give it up.
