Does Disney put effort into the game?

I do see what you are saying TSC. Honestly, there is no yes or no answer to this little debate. They could decide to put in money, and see if it really does make the game amazing. It may be a gamble, but perhaps it would pay off. Or they can put money into what they KNOW will make them money, and then of course get money from it. It all depends on their style of business running. Perhaps they do have the money to give to see if POTCO could be great, but they may decide not to risk losing it.

Back on track, it seems that we all do agree that with what they have, POTCO is doing a good job. Whether or not Disney will give them more money to make it even better, is completely different.

There is nothing that we (the players) can do or say that will change what Disney does with this. I just sit tight, keep my hands and feet inside the vehicle, take no flash photographies, and enjoy their ride.

Personally, I have no complaints. Well, any major ones, anyways. Things like the LB being down & deletion of servers are a mite upsetting. But, for my money, I am very happy with POTCO. Never got into other Disney games, so I can't speak about them. It is difficult for me to fathom the huge task of maintaining POTCO, and to keep adding updates. Test was invented for a good reason. And when things do go awary, Disney tries its hardest to fix & make pirates happy. Can't make all the ppl happy all the time, but the Mouse attempts to satisfy. Where else can you enjoy entertainment for under 10 bucks a month to have the game at your beck & call 24/7? Maybe there are other games, but my money is on POTCO...

I voted other because when you least expect it, an update comes out. So they come out with updates when the big D thinks it needs it. I mean look at last year:

~ Raven's Cove

~ Alot of weapons

Those are some pretty good updates. Sure they havent been up to scratch this year, with the resets and all...

If this was a real issue, then someone else would have told me. Sure, maybe i could have added more choices but then you couldn't have said so.

They have done fine, greatly. In the years i've played POTCO i have found both fun and enjoyment in the game, something you dont see in most MMO
But, they have had the test for almost a month, i just want it to go live that way i can do privaterring.
Sure they havent fully given us all the promised features they said they would YET, such as the kraken, new boats etc. But they work hard, you should be satisfied in in that instead of complaining. Please, Disney works hard. The only mistake i have EVER seen is when the closed Vmk...

Are they lazy?

Yes Because... for the company they are and for the business that Disney is they are lazy because they can do way better if more work was put to action with more technological resources they can get...

No they are not lazy because because POTCO staff might or is not provided with enough resources by Disney as a whole. POTCO is just a minor addition to Disney from a business point of view since they own TV channels and film production...

Players intend to blame Disney a lot because they see it as a gaming company. The POTCO staff is probably a small portion of Disney workers and they are doing the best they can with what they are provided. Disney could give more but since POTCO is not one of their main concerns they just can't spent money with it making it better.

Its depending on how you see this:
This game has alot of stuff other games dont have.

A) The game is set in the 1600-1700's so theor choices are limited.
B) Come on you guys, as Davy said, this is one of the minor parts of Disney.
C) If you think about it, the Invasions are/were a great addition because it showed that the Big D is paying attention to the came.

Well Disney owns alot of these game like Club penguin, POTCO,etc. They don't entirely put there true heart in it because all the other game need tamed. But last I check they had a specific team for the game. They must be lazy then.

Um.... they just came out with two updates in.... two days? (mardi gras and infamy) I wouldnt consider them lazy.

Sidenote:
Remember, people this game is different. The fighting isnt: Your turn, my turn, your turn, my turn, etc. This game isnt formal stuff, its more like 'ATTACK!' at the same time. Since this game is more like this, they cant make any upgrades on new stuff to use (ammo). This is just me bumbling out stuff that might possibly make sense.

THEY ARE DOING VERY WELL!!! I mean come on you cant update a game every week. And I hear when this game first started it was the bare minimum. (I read all the release notes) And I think they might add Blackbeard from the new movie instead of Davy Jones. That would make alot more sense.

It would make more sense to add Blackbeard instead of Davy because:

~Davy is dead! Not DF

~Blackbeard is in the new movie, gets hype for the new one, which is why I have been hearing is why POTCO came out in the first place.

I believe Del said: 'Overall, the game needs more of piratic feel, and less of a superman feel' Or something along those lines. Blackbeard is NOT a hero...
