None of the above.

When you look in to a mirror, what you don't realize is what you're looking in to is a mirror within a mirror. The reflection is actually a mirror, meaning the mirror you're looking in to is mirroring itself. As such, when a mirror reflects off a mirror, it creates an endless vortex of reflections which, in reality, just seems like a row of a thousand mirrors. What you don't realize is that inbetween these two mirrors is a magical forcefield which underlines the layers of existence - for, as you see, reality is just millions upon millions of layers functioned and stuck together in such a way that it creates a third-dimensional universe.

To fully understand a mirror, we must first look at the layers. It is estimated by a group of scientists off the coast of Sweden that, when placed within the "Double-Mirror Zone," the distance between each layer is exactly the length of two Oreos, or roughly, one double-stuffed Oreo. The primary layer, which we can consider the two base mirrors in the zone, act as the beginning of the sequence. Directly in between the base layer and the second layer is located a semi-layer that we will call the "Inner Membrane." This is because the base mirrors act as the end, or outer membrane, of the infinite cell of the universe.

For, as you would suggest, putting two mirrors in front of each other creates a spiral effect, usely curving off in a direction, like it were to create a circle. The layers do just that, creating a never-ending ring of layers. Now, because the bilayer is also a mirror, that would mean in between the bilayer and the base mirror is yet another ring. This, of course, would mean that each ring branches off in to another ring, eventually creating an inevitable formation of continuing rings, each with their own direction pixelation, which is the explaination for alternate dimensions.

In short, don't break any mirrors.
