Using a wireless internet connection will be more laggy, due to you not being directly connected (or something like that ).

Other than that, all I can suggest is lowering your graphics.. not really sure. As MacIronhawk said, majority of the lag is on their end. I play with my graphics on high (and have done so since I first joined). I used to be able to play the game lag-free. However, once they updated the islands, my lag increased. The only reason I think it's on their end is exactly as MacIronhawk mentioned, I've played better looking games lag-free, on the same computer. Once I sign on to Pirates, it's a completely different story.

My computer is a PC, and is definitely at least five years old.

This means you might want to replace your pc. The game will do a better performance.

Well, I think it could certainly be your PC. This game has some pretty awesome graphics, and I'd hate to see someone use wither on a 5 year old computer. I have a half-year mac, and I'm running 1600x1200, Fullscreen on high, so and new computer thats decent will run fine. I think.

That works with some lag if you connect it to your router. I was asked up update my graphics card but a disney tech support member but caused major lag and messed up my PC and I had to downgrade. So really it is disney fault with these issues.
