But Cannons, I lvled up my cannon along side with my sailing. Its currently at 21. Alot of how i got my sailing lvl high quick is because of how i sail and what i take on. I always take on big ships, but i never sail right into a fight. I tag them with the deck cannons and pummel them until they are well within broadside range, and then switch to broadside and start firing. Many high ships would give me 200 (or 220 with a crew) rep, 100 for cannon and a 100 for sailing. I also do this because i to sail solo alot, not until recently have i sailed with a crew.

So there is no fast way to level up sailing, you just have to sail alot. It would have been faster for me, had I known how good a hunting ground for ships the area north of Devils Anvil (or if leaving from Tortuga, sailing left) is. I'm currently going there with my sloop and net between 500 and 1000 sailing rep. per run. Not much money in it though, because of my small gargo space. But Josie's restocking and Bartholomew's quests help a bit. I'm not going to put points on treasure sense, at least yet, since I don't see myself sailing just for fun or even to collect money, as I'm beginning to be very fed up with sailing at the moment. But I'll keep this going until sailing is mastered and I don't need to worry about that skill anymore. Then I'll stay on land as much as possible...
