Dread Scorpion?

Aye, there are Dread Scorpions in the Wicked Thicket on Port Royal.

The Wicked Thicket is at the far end of the island, down past the shipwright. The Dreads can usually be found in the area just past the little log bridge you cross over a third of the way back. If you don't see any, try running close to the rock formation. That often triggers their spawning.

ETA: Since posting this, PotCO has removed the Dread Scorp from the Wicked Thicket. Whenever I need one now, I usually head to Rumrunners. If you run along the cliff face where you land, you'll find one in no time.
