A Poem Dedicated to the Sea Serpent, (Wherever he be)
Under the waves they sailed at night,
A horrible groan was heard, A call, a call, of ages past, Songs with nary a word, The beast did thrash through its watery home, It raised the winds to a squall, Its scarlet jaws and ivory claws, Slowed the ship to a crawl, The ship did shake, its fate looked bleak, The beast was readying to kill, When on the horizon a ship long and sleek, Fired upon the left gill, The beast, it raged, for it could not see, The cannon-fire did blind it, But ere they could bind it, It sank back 'neath the sea, Now the beast lays 'neath the waves, Awaiting an easier meal, Perhaps, perhaps, we'll see it again, But next, we'll bring a line and reel!!! ![]() Hope you like it. It's a little rough. Last edited by KeeperOfTheCode; 06-28-2010 at 06:32 PM.. |

Glad you like it. It's a little off. For instance, the cannon-fire was to blind it, not the fact that its gill was hit. But it's a process.
