Aye Sven,
I am assuming yer meaning the bad pirates are testing the GM's. If so I agree tis a sad thing to see. That's why I be advocatin we start lettin these scallywags know how we feels. Me guild knows not to do this and that they be gettin one warning fer it. Me mates are abiddin by this and we even have a group that talks and goes a huntin fer the ghosts. I ask the GM's to talk to yer guilds about this and let'em know to respect the GMs. There will always be disrupters in online games. Some folk find this to be fun. If we all band together and show our displeasure most can be handled. The rest can be tossed from the game by the GM for all I care. At some point the GMs will be forced to stop these events or start bannin pirates for it. Let's do what we can to curtail those that just need some advisin. alright, sorry fer the rant but it's redicuous. Thx fer your post Sven and all the others what feel this way. Captain Whale |

Captain Whale, are you implying that a Guild Master should ban anyone that goes into the ghosts' house?
If so, I see this as ridiculous. I fully agree that you should respect the GM, but how is it disrespectful to want to be the antagonist in the storyline? I can understand pirates testing to be KO'd. But other than just walking in the house, I don't see how anyone would make the GM angry through chat. And if they do, they deserve more than just a KO. Quote:
Once I meet the ghost I'll go along with the little storyline and probably walk in the house as a "foolish pirate". Does that make me bad? No. I simply have no time in my real life. Some of us can't wait hours and hours to meet this ghost. And if we do, we'll be curious and odds are we'll try to see what this GM can do. It's a game, remember, and if people want to walk into a house and get KO'd they should be allowed to. Seems very odd to want to get knocked out, but if they want to, let them. It's not like anything important is going to be said by the ghost, although only seeing one person get knocked out would be better than, say, ten. I just don't see how any important information would come from a GM. Important information should be on the Lore on the pirates site, not from the game, where only few may get information. |

Ahoy MacIronhawk - thx fer the reply.
You say Guild Master are you meaning GM? If yer meaing a Guild master that is up to them. In our case we simply have asked our pirates to respect the GMs at the events and they are. They want to know what it going on just like the rest of us. Would we kick someone out if they persisted in causing trouble at a GM event? Perhaps, depends on what was goin on. What I am saying is that when the GM's come on they have information they want to impart to us. In the case of Constance she has stated "Do not go in my house!" So when pirates go in anyways she spends most of her time shouting "Get out of my house!!" and KO'in pirates who won't. In some cases the GM's have left without saying much more than "Stop attcking me or Get out of my house." It's a simple matter of respect to both the GM and to those of us there to find out what she has to say. Does that make you bad? No, but it does make you disrepectful when you have been asked not to do it. I don't have much time to play either and so when events get ruined on the one time I actually get to be there, I don't like it. As far as Banning pirates - that is up the GM's. If everytime they see the same pirate causing the same disruptions then yeah I am ok with that. I think warnings should be given or suspension first. Everyone has a right to play but they don't have the right to ruin everyone else fun. Captain Whale |

Sorry if my post sounded... confused? I wasn't too clear what you were saying as GM can mean game master, or guild master.
I totally understand having a guild master possibly banning someone for bugging and bugging a game master, as some people would like to hear the story coming from the ghost, and not yells for people to go away. I myself want to see the ghost, and I really want to hear the information given.(although I think it might be a little fun to hear maybe one or two shouts from the ghost to leave her house.) |

Im afraid im going to have to disagree..
Indeed, there are some that are disrespectful and there are those that cause alot of mayham in events like these, but i honestly dont think they should get banned.. Why? There are alot of kids and there are alot of other pirates that dont know much about this roleplaying stuff. If they're going around harassing, then yeah they should get banned. But not if they're asking question after question or walking into Constance's house or having their guns ablaze. Knocking said person out is fitting enough as it is even if they tend to be bothersome. P.S: Sorry if i read the above posts wrong and that isn't what the posters above were saying

Ahoy Kraken Guard - I don't want to see anyone banned either.
I think first they get knocked out a few times then a warning then a suspension and if they still don't get it.... banned. At some point enough is enough, when they come back event after event. Accidents happen and people who don't know what's goin on trip into things. That's fine. I had a guy come in and start rep stealing today when I was helping a lower lvl guldie do a quest. I asked him to stop or go do it somewhere else. He responded that the rep was the same no matter what. I asked my guildmate to please wait a moment and then spent several minutes explaining how rep works and that by him coming in and killing our target with his flaming skull he was taking the rep from both of us. Also that it was bad form to come and attack targets we were fighting with out asking if it was ok. He apologized and thanked us for taking the time to explain it to him. He had no idea. If I see him doing it again though... you see my point? I think if we inform those who are doing the disrupting that it's bad form they may stop. Better for all. I am talking about the pirate that keeps coming back time after time to disrupt things. To me that is no different than cursing, harrassing or bullying. OK back to Ghosts! Has anyone anything to report? Captain Whale |

Wo guys... I was talking about a GM banning someone from their guild.
Before this gets too off topic I'd just like to say, I'm waiting on pirates now for constance. I'd like to see this ghost before she stops showing up. |

No worries MacIronhawk - just a friendly discussion. That's what forums are all about.
Sven is correct most sightings are in Abassa. Captain Whale |

The ghost of Captain Cromwell was seen today. One of the pirates asked if Constance was an innocent? Captain Cromwell said that she was.
Another piece of the puzzle. Constance Sorrow was an innocent in all this and died of a broken heart. He husband John Moses died fer a crime he did not commit because Captain Cromwell stole the reward that was to set John free from the gallows. Did anyone catch anything else from Captain Cromwell? I heard Constance was about today too but have not heard what she had to say. Captain Whale |

Hold on.... Does Constance knock people out in her house because she's getting into character as a ghost for the role-playing event? Or is it because it's a GM's personal space?

Old Sooty was in Port Royal (Abassa) last night. He spent most of the time asking people to stow their weapons. He did not have much information except he said he was the ripe old age of 43.

Thanks Gingeeann for the update.
Hopefully next time he will be able to spend more time talking to those who came to hear what he had to say. I have seen this too where the disrupters are so bad that the GM simply has to leave and we lose any clues he/she came to impart. Captain Whale |
