I am impatiently, waiting... patiently <------ Yup!
I know we asked for alot but then perhaps Disney should have waited a little while longer before release to have these things ready to go. Ever heard of Wizard101? Well it came out last summer and in the 1 year its been out it has had 2 huge realms added a 10+ level increase along with extensions of its major story lines, as well as a HUGE player housing feature and crafting features all within a year and the makers of the game (KingsIsle) isnt even a large corporation they have 30-40 people for the whole company. So how can Disney (A huge corporation) spend 2 years without a major release! |

They've also said that they were going to bring out a new story quest about 5 months ago.... With all of this said, I wouldn't be surprised if all of these new updates being talked about in the first few posts won't be for another few months... ~Cpt. Sea

Comparing apples to oranges mate.
Ever heard of World of Warcraft? The game was announced in 2001, spent 3 years in development and testing and was released in 2004. You would think with all that time spent the game would be fully ready aye? It was almost 2 years after it's release that players received their first level cap increase, another year and a half before they got their second. Ever heard of Pirates of the Burning Sea? They had one cap raise during beta testing and none since. It's been out over a year and a half. Comparing POTCO to other games is pointless. Every game is different. Different games engines, different graphics, different game play styles. To say this game has done this why hasn't POTCO is just like trying to compare an apple to an orange. To paraphase Jack Sparrow: Can ye wait for it to get better or can ye not? If ye can't wait why are ye still here?

By comparing games, you need to compare companies and how hard they work. Toontown and Pirates online aren't a huge priority that Disney has been working on. If it was, they would have over 40 developers working on the game instead of 19. Nineteen people can do a lot, but you can't expect much out of them in a year... I mean two. If I was a Disney employee, I'd do the same thing. Hire a few developers and let them work on the game for a few years until it gets more popular. Then hire more when we know that we'll be making enough money to support the developers pay. I still think the game would be better today if Disney hadn't pushed the developers to release the game before POTBS. |
