Actually, wasps would be considered 'Living' not 'Undead'. Skeletons and Jolly Rogers crew are the Undead, everything else would be considered a living creature.
The wording on this particular quest is probably mistaken, as Disney has been updating quests and correcting the errors in the dialogue. |

I reported it as a bug and I got a reply that they are working on fixing it. Probably in the next few updates.
