Upgrade to Leopard
Hi there...first time poster here.
I've updated my PowerBook G4 to Leopard, and now Pirates online doesn't work properly. I get a completely red screen, and although I can still move, use the "tab" function etc., I can't see what I'm doing because the screen is red. I played Pirates just fine before upgrading to Leopard. It seemed a little slow, but I was still able to enjoy the game. I sent a bug report to Pirates Online, and included my logs. Then I went onto their "live chat" support. Was told I would be receiving an email soon. I did get the email, only to be told I didn't meet the system requirements to support the game. WHAT?! I had been playing the game just fine before. I also have a MacBook Pro, and updated it to Leopard, and have absolutely no issues playing Pirates on it. I am hoping someone on here can help me out. My family has two accounts, so we can play with the kids. I hate wasting money, as we can only play one account at a time now. BTW: I have tried unistalling (dumping it in the trash on the Mac) and re-installing Pirates to no avail. Thanks for all your help! |

omg me toooo!!!
This same thing happens to me. I have Mac OS X 10.5.2 on my two personal G4 Macs. both have the same issue when I load. red screen of death.
On a happy note it does seem to work up my Intel iMac at work. I think the issue might have to do with MacOS 10.5 on G4 computers. Did you ever get this to work? I see the post was originally in November. I've tried to put a bug in two times but the file attachments never go through.. I'm going to try again tonight if it fails again I'm just going to send text from the online form. Then I'll attach the screenshots and logs to the email reply they send out. |
