Both Movies were very good - but each "theme" is totally different. A futuristic wizard world vs. a pirate world? Not really a comparison there... Thats like comparing POTCO vs. WoW because they are both Online Games - comparing two movies with different themes is just too hard to do

LOTR is very futuristic. There's just magic, and very much of the traveling is done by walking or riding horses.
