Sea Beastie?

How are you supposed to defeat the giant octopus or hydra? Is it IMPOSIBLE to defeat without glitching? I can defeat the shark but not them. Other than the theory of the Royal Galleon I have the best (Figurehead IDK). I have a war Frigate with dardenelles(sp) guns and gargoyle figurehead.

Change you figurehead to the Phoenix and use the special as soon as it comes up.
You will lose track of the enemy and have to re-aim but you will do a lot of damage that way. You will have to do this twice and then you should kill them. You have to get a hit on your first shot to make this at all possible but no one said it was supposed to be easy.

Using CaptainGreenGene's excellent formula above I've been able to defeat the Hydra multiple times with a War Frigate, Dardanelles cannon and unkown figurehead.

I've not yet encountered the shark or the octopus.

They need to bring those creatures and options into POTC Online.....

Not only do they need to bring those beasties to POTC but they should also carry over the cannon choices esp harpoon.. What better to skewer the Kraken with.

The Shark is easy and its on port royal, while the octopus is VERY difficult (8000 hp I think) and on tortuga.

That tip works like a charm. haven't found the hydra or Octopus to destroy with yet. I did say without glitching didn't I? but it turns out that I dont really care.

I wish they would, for on deck cannons as +? damage. for broadsides, I just want to pick ammo, like explosives, fire brand and lightning. yes to figure heads. possibly flag maker, color sails, and change mast and top. disney has mentioned customization, and new ships, so far Ive heard about clipper, harkaway and royal galleon. each are real (royal is maybe just a new class, meaning more costly, raising the limit, or adding quests!). hopefully, they do add these things! the Kracken has been mentioned too as well as in trailers.

Can someone post the ideal power levels and angles to shink ships. Others are having trouble sinking the ships.
