Skeleton Pirate Ship

I need to get a key from a Skeleton Pirate Ship,sank at least 30 Skeleton ships but still no key.Where do I find it?
Called a Skeleton Frigate. I thought they were all Frigates.

Finally got my key,just left Tortuga and he was right in front of me.Had 3 other ships hitting the Skeleton Ship and it waited till I got off a shot before it went down.That was by far the hardest quest so far.

Stuck here as well. I also know another stuck on this portion of the main quest too. If you look in the journal it says recover a skeleton key by sinking navy ships, but when tracking the quest it says sink a skeleton frigate. Either way, sunk many navy ships and ghost ships and have not received the key.

I bugged it.

where can i find gost ships?

ghost ships are found mostly at night, anywhere really. phantoms are the best kind of ghost ship because sometimes you get a rare prize from a treasure chest from them

I just found a key on my first try. It was a skeleton level 17 War Frigate off of rumrunners.

Did way over fifty and still trying to get the key

Just sunk another 10 skelly ships myself including the one around Rumrunner and still nada. After sinking a skelly frigate, I am not getting the typical *searching for* quest message either. I bugged it again.

I was able to recover the key with no problem, but now I need to recover a haunted chest with a key from a skeleton ship, and not having any luck. It searches, but nothing is ever found.

Now the last key is another skeleton ship for Jack.

No, this must be the key you guys are looking for. There are no searching for keys messages. There is a difference between the task and the task description. The task description says sink navy ships, and the task says sink skeleton. I've tried skeleton, light frigate, and light galleon, but have to get off. Next I'll try the higher level ships. I remember in another task we had to sink ships higher than level 10, so maybe this is the same? I don't know.

I have tried in vain for days. I get a few shots of and then the skelly shoots at me one time and I sink.

This is extremely frustrating......................................

I just sank a 30 and a 32 Storm Reaper, 30 gave 89 points 32 gave 54 points,
When I die, I fix my ship and go back after them,there already hit .I've sank 4 little Skeleton on a single trip.and have made 4 and 5 trips to get a big 1

It is the replacement for Jack that is not coming up. Rob and I are sinking ones that give 100 points (level 35 and up) and still no key. It is bugged. Between the 2 of us, we have sunk well over 50.

Stitch, when fighting ghost ships, it's good to have people on yer ship. If you are alone, fight from a distance, because the one hit sink shots work when yer close to them. That's what I do, when I'm by myself on a ship, and it works.

Since the task description says sink navy ships, have you tried the high level navy?
