The more damage you do with grenades, the lower the rep. I have only one point in each type of grenade and the rest in passive skills. Smoke bomb, Stink Pot and Fire grenades will give you more rep than using the standard grenade any day of the week. Try tossing a few of each....the combination seems to provide good results. Use the standard grenade as a last resort. I've done this with plenty of characters.....trust me it works.

P.S. - Siege charge is fun just to show people and toss around...lol...looks so funny holding it. Does MAJOR damage and the reps will be very low.

Occasionally when I help a friend level staff or grenades at Kingshead, whenever someone comes in and starts stealing rep, I like to toss one siege charge into the mob, killing them all in one hit. The rep stealer will usually leave after a few rounds of this and my friend can continue to level.

But on the topic of this thread- I agree, grenades take way too long to level. With the time it takes to reload one stinkin' grenade, I can practically fire off two rounds from a tri-barrel pistol. So I don't necessarily think grenades should give more rep, but I think they should recharge a lot faster so they aren't so aggravating to level.

On another note, I just mastered my grenades today, so YAY ME. lol

With things like the kings fence, I would say grenades is one of the easiest to level. Staff as well with both being a multiple creature attack at once.

Just like any other weapon, you make a choice. You add points into damage, or attacks used to level, you will level slower. If its more important to pvp or something to a person, then add points to damage in it, just don't plan on gaining levels very fast at all.

Grenades other bonus aspect, is there is no choice to make a mistake in getting a upgraded weapon so it levels slower. This alone standing away from all other skills with also a multiple creature attack, makes it the easiest in the game to level.

Probably worse thing about grenades if anything, is not able to carry enough.

All skills are the same, better you are, more damage you do, less rep is what it basically boils down to. Last 4 or so characters I have built I haven't started the weapon quests until they mastered the skill, for just this reason. The bought tri-pistol is fine since it doesn't add a plus point damage which effects lower skills. Other then that really, the start weapon, and basically no damage spent in skills until mastered. A few not used for leveling is fine to put 5 points in and used for big blows or kills.
