true friends?

Is this like the open chat thing if so how do you get a friend to become a true friend?

"blah blah blah" seems to be the chat bug, I have friends who say that's all I talk, but I talk to non-friends just fine.

Personally, I'd love to see a chatspeak sort of option for this game, but for now I'll just MSN/AIM my friends and use that.
