". The War Galleon with its sails looks awesome, the 'look' is a personal thing obviously. I find the Frigate the ugliest boat in the game!"
-Zeppers I like the frigate more because it's ugly!. The galleons look like your steriotypical pirate ship, and seeing them all the time gets boring. Real pirates most often used sloops, due to their speed. Pirates would want to board a ship and take it, which the lumbering galleon would have trouble doing. The frigate looks more agresive to me, and though this was rare, some pirates actually used frigates. The trouble with them was the fact that they were military vessels, and that they would be harder to take. The Blackbeard and Bartholomew Roberts both had frigates at one point or another (the Queen Anne's Revenge and the Royal Fortune, respectively). Okay, I when from looks to historical accuracy at random so my post doesn't make sense any more. The point is, FRIGATES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

And although the Galleon may collect gold faster (though I think I remember a thread started by OFX that said ships with smaller holds get better quality crates or something and that they all essentially got the same loot [them being the War class]), one you get a War Frigate, the most expensive treasure there, you have less need of gold period. As well, the difference needed for the new ship would seem vast again, while it is smaller in the mind if you get the F first. |

Frigates are for people that have less experience sailing, who think they get more because it costs more. A war frigate is also good for stockpiling gold, when you keep hitting 65,000, from sailing your war galleon all the time. |
