Thank you, Jade. It was fun, even with the selling of a quest hat to get the bandana.

Actually davy, the curse did come to some servers. I was on two different times when Captain Walter lit the bonfire and after some celebration the curse hit.

I didn't see any GMs Thurs, Fri or Sat, but on Sunday I saw Captain Walter on several servers and that last time, as Rackat said, it was Walter and Xavier Hench.

Honestly, it just wasn't as special as they made it out to be. So they had bonfires and pork - from what I saw, nothing else was happening. Our guild got together and had a grteat time dancing and chatting, but realistically, we do that anyway. We don't need a bonfire to get together.

As for the bandana, it was ok, but had issues. I never saw the curse, and I never saw the GM's light the fire, even though I stood next to an unlit one for over 2 hours. That part was just too unpredictable. It would have been nice to give times (even if they weren't exact) of when the GM's would be lighting which servers, and when/where the curse would hit.

It just seemed thrown together, and somewhat disappointing.

Overall i'd give it a 5 out of 10. It was just ok in my opinion.

I am still pretty upset about the fact that everytime i signed in it said the golden skull bandana would be available until December 7th, then i go to get it the evening of November 30th and it was no longer available, arrrr!! My fault for not getting it right away i guess and actually thinking it would be available until the 7th like it said everytime i signed in. Plus, having to sell a quest item to make room for it...lame if you ask me.

I guess I find this a bit interesting, while in the glog blog it states this.

"Davy Redflint, Jade Truesilver, Edward Ironbones, and Achilles were just a few of the Pirates that joined us this past weekend for the Founders Feast!"

Joined who?

After all how many of us stood around for hours, many times listening to idiots repeat their name over and over spamming. Never to see a curse period, or even a single lighting of a fire. Deception of how to receive hats, and how long.

The plus was the 10 pork, so next couple months when the 40's pop back on they have these to look at.

I find it a bit amazing it would take no more than one gm to light a fire on all the servers, pop a couple curses on a select few servers, and people think that is grand event or something. Never did hear what exactly the big role founders had in any of this at all.

With some of the posts here I find some seem to be quite easily entertained and content.

I hope soon, some find that half done little events for pork, Christmas, I suppose Turkey, and such things are not much of a interest grabber to hundreds of bored players. Stand around and maybe you will be in the right spot at the right time to have then nothing much more than some more chat.

I know how I can pass some coin to some people, buy more than this in potions, should we have a big event? Can even pick a beach most all the guilds don't usually stand at while they chat with nothing to do.

From what I read into this, if anyone gave more than 1 or 2 points into a scale of 1-10, they are saying it would be a perfect 10 and exactly what we all want, if hat and some of these other issues didn't happen.

That is where I find a problem with this, because getting a hat or some form of potion, is nothing near things like Kraken, custom ships and things I want to see.

Maybe I am off base and we need a poll or something, those that want to stand around, a hat, and potion, and those that want Kraken, ships, more adventures, new weapons, pets, etc.

Is this poison, or pirate juice, you make the call.

That is quite an assumption. I suppose there are some folks that would give the event a perfect 10 if some of the issues you mention hadn't occured, but i certainly wouldn't have. After thinking about it, giving it a 5 was very generous of me but don't assume i'd ever give any event more than a 8, it would have to be extremely cool for that to happen and a perfect 10 rating would be almost impossible for me to give.

I too want to see the Kraken, customized ships, etc. more than just about anything else, but i don't consider those things to be part of an event. I suppose they could be introduced in an event but usually those types of upgrades aren't part of an event, they are just added as an update/upgrade to gameplay.

Who's to judge on that? Some may be just hard to please, easily making for a hard-standarded standard. That being said, it's a holiday event, not a real addition to the game.

Well it was Ok. I was there when GM Captain Walter lit the fire along with Achilles and other Founders on Abassa were the GM brought the curse of Jolly Rogers. The Bandana is awesome, although I had to get rid of another quest item to make room for this one.
On Sunday, once again I saw GM Xavier Hench on Antassa having with some dancing and pork eating.
Overall, it was OK for being the 1st Founder Feast of POTCO. Hope next year there will be a better one.

The Host GM's and pirate members that were there for the bonfire lighting.

I was there, but rather than standing around being bored, I was chatting and having a good time with other pirates.

Yep, the pork makes a pretty picture. I like the fact that it gives 2000 hp so I can get all the way down in the red before using it.

It was what we made of it. Could it have been better? Certainly. Was it a bust? Certainly not. Some of us got to meet new pirates and have fun. It was after all a Feast/party to celebrate. I dunno about you, but if I watied for the host to entertain me at every RL party I went to, it would be a very boring party, so I tend to interact with the other guests and make it more fun.

You're entitled to your opinion. I guess that if you were looking for fireworks, corn on the cob, and pilgrims, you could easily be dissapointed. However, those of us who had fun were not looking for the "over the top" Evel Knievel Grand Canyon jump. We had fun with those that were there, and with the Host Gm's when they showed up.

No offense, but it seems like you want it on a silver platter. As with anything else, you can make of it what you will. If you are looking to be dissapointed, you will be. If you're looking to have some fun, you will.

Not really. That is your perception. As I said, it could've been better, but it was a fun time.

I agree, basically. But, if they had done nothing for Thanksgiving, would you have been any more satisfied?

Or those that want content as well as the niceties offered during such a festival.

I know I was being out right harsh, but sometimes I think that's what some people need to hear.

First off the post made by Davy, obviously quoted after 4 days didn't see any gm's. Thus the question of joined by who.

I am going to keep it to generalities, since this is not against a certain person, but a general view of what this scale from 1-10 type thing is representing.

If I see numbers like 7 out of 10, I would view that as not much more room for the greatest thing ever. Anything is what you make of it, but that is really the big question right there. Any day of the week we all can have what we make of it. 6, 9 months later it gets old what you make of it and nothing else.

Do I want to be entertained and led around, no. Some people enjoying time with gm's or such as well is fine if they found them.

Overall what I see, is work resources being put in a bonfire, a camp fire, a use to the camp fire, altered effect to bonfire, a clothe item, a tonic. For a weekend event that is a done and gone thing.

What I didn't see, have never seen, and tired of not seeing is any effort whatsoever being put in something like customization in ship, or many of the other many ideas and such. Something every single player can be involved with, use always.

If it was a question of going to the gypsy and picking up the pork, and nothing else, while work was being focuses on something like ship customization, heck yeah I would of been more than happy about that. A new weapon type or something being focused on, yeah I would rather of gone to the gypsy for something that it itself has new code for and is gone when used up.

If time can be spent on this stuff for a moments event, over the laps time the game has been running, then why can nothing be done with the big ongoing issues. Two weekends at GM's, most heard question by Players, when will level cap be increased. Then quests and continued adventure versus the same oh, same oh.

Thanksgiving , the same oh same oh, for the most part. Hat, we have gotten a hat before. Tonic, a new little item, that most I am sure picked up. Many, as I stated only used to look at, since it is on their 40's, and Nothing to work on, Nothing to have really a Use for it for. Only benefit to it at all I can see is to pvp, or future curse, type functions, again something not all are big on.

In a years time I consider a very few couple things have changed, and some for the worse in my view. Upgrade weapons to slow leveling.
Clothes / tattoo quests, to be not much more than the treasure we all have sitting in our inventory slots.

SVS at least something new once. Character alteration and degraded, glitched and a basic mess.
Point allocation only other positive, which also had to be messed with so now to this day, those with skipped combos have advantage over others.

I for once would rather see half a dozen hats left to the side, and some of these things like level cap, continued challenges, and custom ships type things, appear. That every player can benefit from, use always. If there is limited items, give us a a limited cutlass, with desolation, not a clothe item to try to put in a full inventory of unused items.

So my point is really not if someone rates a poll higher or lower. The point is still nothing is going forward. Do I think it should of today, or Thanksgiving, or Christmas for that matter, not neccesarily, but sometime that never comes has not been working.

In my own opinion, I am not sure there are any friends left to increase any more of the 90% basic player standing, versus payed.
