Well when level cannons, generally the best crew for leveling cannons generally consists of 2 people. Myself, and another friend/guildmate.

Depending on level of ship your attacking, you can often get 240 reps (120 for cannons, 120 for sailing), by each taking a couple broadsides each from helm, and each taking turns at cannon, one should work on knocking out the sails for thier reps to help leave some for the other.

More people and the ships tend to go down too fast, and not give that great O reps.

SvS however, the more crew the better... more cannons.. doing high level damage
