can't click someone on friends list!

ok does anyone have any idea what it means when you can't click on someone's name who's on your friends list? i've had it hapen a few times lately...i try to click on their name...and NUTHIN. don't get it...only noticed it happening here in the last few weeks. just wondered why it's doin that...
