new undead flagships weird behavior

okay so i was doing the new undead quest earlier and solo boarding the french blood scourge. i crippled the ship easy enough (one lightning shot to the sails took all of its sail points away, so it quickly became target practice for me) so i grappled it and started using my cannons to clear the undead on deck. all was going well until there was about a minute left where i could still board the ship and this french undead quater master spawns and runs towards the front of the deck. and keeps running above the water. and doesnt stop. i boarded the ship and killed the rest on board but couldnt do anything else. i ended up teleporting off the boat and trying again.

has this happened to anyone else?
