has this happend to any1 else

so im sailing along trying to sink a Fench Cerebus, im pretty mad cuz this has happened 5 times in a row, i start firing on it i hardly have any damage it need 1 more broadside b4 it sinks, but then i get hit with about 5 firey cannon balls, my game freezes for a sec and i hear my ship going down then im in jail, is it jsut me, does my game hate me, or has this happened to you, plz say if your ship has gotten wrgfully sunk ( i mean wrongfully as in even a regular fire broadside would not sink ur ship but this one seems to aave sunk it and what i jsut described above happened to you)
