Glad to finally make my return to play the game and to register here where I will be at liberty to speak a tad more freely with my fellow hearties than in-game.

I've seen POF before after seeing it listed in the Yahoo search engine, and checked it out some only to sail away to another game that ate up a good deal of my time. I was also an active forum poster there.

Every now and then I would check out the latest stuff by POTCO during those two years. Can't say with certainty why I stopped playing Pirates. Could say it was the huge platform change they made with the extreme island makeovers starting in January of '09. The technical issues that created problems for my fellow mates and myself made the other game a more pleasant experience since it was a browser game that didn't demand so much bandwidth.

Ahh, but such pleasantries did not last for long in that other game. The journey was interesting and the stuff I experienced mixed, but my love for the high seas I once sailed remained strong and true. The freedom spoken by all those pirates beloved by us resonated deep within the very marrow of my bones. How I felt so much at home with each brief visit I made, be it live or test. How much more when exciting updates and improvements came about all through 2011!

Perhaps it was fate; Perhaps it was coincidence; Perhaps it was destiny for the circumstances that befell me in that other game to steer me back where my heart lies. It is a journey I am too glad to see it through.
