Posting - What are those buttons???

There are several choices to create a new post:

• To make a new post within an existing thread: Go into the thread you are interested in and click the button at the top left.
• To create a new thread in any forum: In the forum, click the button at the top left.
• If you want to quote someone's post within your own post, click the button at the lower right corner of their post. This will bring you to a new post screen and will include their post quoted within your own.
• If you want to quote the posts of several people, click the button at the lower right corner of the posts you want to quote. Click it several times to include all of the quotes you want. When you are done selecting posts to quote, simply click the button and all of the quoted posts will be within the body of your post.

Any of the above options will then take you to a screen with the post window:



Let's talk about the tools found at the top of that window:







Many people don't realize how many possibilities they can create in a post just by using these tools!

Removes all formatting from highlighted text in your post

Adds the specified font to the highlighted text in your post

Adds the specified font size to the highlighted text in your post

Adds the specified font color to the highlighted text in your post

Adds the chosen smilie into your post ("More smilies" at the bottom will bring up even more!)

Will prompt you to upload an attachment from your pc

Undo/Redo will Undo and Redo actions

Bold Italic Underline

Justify Left, Center, and Right will align your highlighted text appropriately

These buttons will create a numbered or bulleted list

Outdent and Indent will move the highlighted text in or out from your paragraph

Highlighted text will become a link if you insert a URL using this feature

Highlight text that you wish to remove a link from

Inserts email address (Be sure you follow forum policy and do not enter a personal email address in a post)

Insert the URL of an image you'd like to enter into your post

Highlight text that you would like to quote and click this button

Wraps [code] tags around selected text
