Mystery at Blackbeard's Cove: by Audrey Penn
Arg! Has any other scallywag read this book? " Mystery at Blackbeard's Cove". If ye haven't ye better! It's a pirate-booty book. Also, at the end of every chapter, is a piratey poem.
I'll share some of the poems with ye scurvy dogs! A pirate's word was what she gave, Its value worth its weight. A story by a crackling fire Was worth a piece of eight. When silently the sun does rise, What secrets will impart? A lady's word upon her death Is gifted from her heart. Those of greed and devilish ways, Have justly gone to watery graves. Their future lies beneath the earth, Lost for good and lacking mirth. It's those with wind to fill their sails, Who seek and old maid's pirate tales, That soar like gulls above the sea And carry always Blackbeard's key. Post your thoughts about this book. And other poems in it! |
