Stupid Internet

Alright, I've had issues ever since I started playing this game, and I've recently found a work-around way to fix it.

I have two computers in my house, this XP and my mom's Vista. Both meet minimum requirements as far as Ram and processor go.

The Vista works fine, if a little laggy at times. The XP, however, will die and say, internet connection lost blah blah. Now, I can fix that by connecting not to the router but directly to the modem. No problems at all, no lag, no mess-ups on the high seas. It's great.

Except for the fact that no one else in the house can get on the internet while I'm playing.

Now, how can I fix this? Anyone have any ideas? Cos it's really annoying everyone else in the house who wants to get online. lol
