Ranks
Well, I think that in some games, as you level up, you get a new title. This new title, as you leveled up, would get you new upgrades, powers, etc. This would be something cool to incorporate into POTCO.
Here is how it would work. You would get a new title every few times you level up. Lemme make a little list Starting Title: Stowaway. Reward: N/A Level 5: Cabinboy/Cabingirl. Reward: Choose to upgrade overall damage on Sword or Gun Level 10: Swabby Reward: Ship takes less damage when hit, and overall damage dealt by your pirate is increased. Level 15: Sailor Reward: Abandon Ship!!! ability unlocked! This ability is off to the side of your screen, and only appears when you are captaining a ship. This causes your entire crew to leave the ship and land on the nearest island. Nobody gets hurt, and you may choose to take three items from your cargo bay with you. Can be used once every Calendar Day. Level 20: Pirate Reward: Your pirate-like personality intimidates shopkeepers, so you can now purchase supplies for less gold! Level 30: Buccaneer Reward: The Famed Buccaneer's Cannon Ram! This Cannon Ram, when equipped, will give you 25% more overall damage, Rank 3 Critical Strike, and infinite Firebrand shots! Level 40: First Mate Reward: Your enemies seem to be dropping better loot for ye! Loot drops now contain better items, and more gold for yer pocket! And to hold all this booty, your inventory space has doubled as well! In addition to this, your overall damage that you can deal has increased, and the damage you take has decreased. Level 50: Captain Reward: Congratulations! You are now a true Pirate Captain! You have unlocked the legendary Sea Chart of Calypso! This Sea Chart increased every sailing skill by three points, increases your hull power, and gives you far better cargo! Lastly, you can now dual wield your weapons! Click and drag a weapon into a spot already taken by a weapon to wield the two at once! Happy Plunderin'! What do you think? |
